Author's Note: Hi, this is being published now because I forgot about halloween and wrote my thanksgiving story early (Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday), there will be multiple parts to this story, so stay tuned.
Chapter 1
It was Halloween night, and Asuka and Shinji were out trick-or-treating together. They'd already been to a few houses and had gotten a good haul of candy. But as they walked down the street, they started to notice that something was wrong. There seemed to be no one else on the streets — almost as if there wasn't supposed to be anyone at all out this late in the evening.
"Huh? What's going on?" asked Asuka, confused by their surroundings. "Where is everyone?"
Shinji pointed ahead of them to see what she meant. There was no sign of anyone in the distance. It looked like a ghost town with only two people wandering around.
"I don't know...," he said, shivering. "But let's just hurry home, okay?"
He took her hand and started to walk faster, but Asuka was hesitant. She looked around at all the dark houses and felt a cold chill run down her spine.
"Asuka, come on! Let's go!"
But before she could answer, they heard a loud noise coming from one of the houses. It sounded like someone was crying or screaming inside.
"What was that?" Asuka whispered, her eyes wide with fear.
Shinji gulped and pulled her closer. "I don't know, but let's just go the other way, okay?"
They turned right and hurried toward the house next door. When they got close enough, they saw a girl hiding behind a bush outside. Her face was blood red and tears streamed down her cheeks.
"Is everything okay over here?" Asuka called out.
The girl shook her head. "No! No, it's not."
She quickly ran into the house and slammed the door shut.
Asuka frowned. "Who was that?"
"Maybe we should leave her alone," Shinji suggested.
"Yeah, you're probably right," Asuka said. "Let's keep moving."
Shinji nodded and led her back to the sidewalk. As they headed down the road again, he looked up at the sky. The moon was full tonight, and it cast a silvery glow across the city. It made him feel uneasy.
"Are you sure we're safe now?" Asuka asked.
Suddenly, Shinji started to change. His eyes turned red and his teeth grew into sharp fangs. Thick fur ran down his body. The song "I'm So Sick" by Flyleaf started to play.
'You tremble at this sound'
Shinji, no, the creature, howled to the moon.
'You sink into my clothes
This invasion makes me feel
Worthless, hopeless, sick
I'm so sick infected with where I live
Let me live without this empty bliss

Its transformation was complete, and as if to show it, it stood tall and roared. Just as it turned to run away, the creature felt a hand on its shoulder.
"Baka!" Said Asuka. "Wait!"
The creature, actively restraining itself, delicately removed Asuka's hand from its shoulder. It growled at her. "Shut up! Stay away!"
"No, Shinji!" Asuka yelled. She ran after him.
But he kept running further and further until she couldn't even see him anymore.
"Wait! Shinji, wait!"
And then he was gone.
