Missions and beginnings
My mission: Save the summoners.
Why, you may ask, would I save the summoners? It isn't like they are being forced to go on the pilgrimage. They made a choice, however misguided it was, to give up everything. Why would I save them from themselves? Because nobody ever thinks!
There has to be some way to defeat Sin without killing a summoner. So many lives lost. . .my uncle was one of them. Now my cousin walks off to her death, nuh uh! Not happening! That is why I had a mission. I needed to save Yunie.
I do have to warn you about something though. This pilgrimage wasn't just about Yunie. We all had our stories.
First ME. My name is Rikku. I am Al Bhed, if that matters to you then you don't matter to me. And just so you know, my daddy is the leader of the Al Bhed. You could call him the king, which would make me a princess! Bow to me! Or not, that works too. I am fun and energetic. I bring just a hint of annoyance into everyone's lives. I hope that you will enjoy my boundless energy while I tell you my story.
Yuna. My beloved cousin that I have never met. Pops and Uncle Braska didn't exactly see eyes to eye, so I never got the chance to meet them. But looking back, let me tell you, she is the best. So concerned about everyone else's happiness that she would do anything for the people of Spira (hence becoming a summoner, hence me having to save her, hence is a fun word:)
Tidus. Blitzball player from Zanarkend. Son of Uncle Braska's guardian Ject. Has issues with his Pop too. Well, when I showed up there was some major chemistry between him and my cousin, hope he behaves. Actually people say we are a lot alike. Both blonde, both care about Yuna, both energetic (to say the least).
Lulu. She lost her true love, Chappu, to Sin. I don't know when she became so cold, but I think it was after his death. We all try to protect ourselves. Sometimes not feeling is the only way to not get hurt. I really do understand that. But. . .sometimes I just want to shake her and say, "You won't get hurt by being cold, true, but you won't be loved either."
Wakka. Mr. "I wanna blame the Al Bhed for why Spira is in chaos." I appreciate that he has taken care of Yuna but I still wouldn't want to let him have a weapon and be near me. He blames my kind for Chappu's death. . .sorry but not my fault.
Kimahri. The silent and deadly. . .Teddy Bear! Ever seen a teddy bear with a giant stick that could take off your head? I have. Yuna's silent protector. Has family issues but that is a different story.
Last is Auron. . .what can I say? He guarded my Uncle Braska. He has a HUGE scar and a cool red coat. Carries a jug everywhere he goes. He is mean and stoic and hurtful and uncaring and mean and doesn't laugh at my jokes and mean. . .did I mention mean? I can't stress how annoying he is! I really can't stand. . .how I feel about him. . .I guess I should start at the beginning. It all began when I went on this mission. . .
