AN: Not what I usually write; This is too clichéd for me. But I decided to put it up anyway  To coin a phrase, the first sentence just popped into my 'fron' and I couldn't do anything until I wrote. Short and crap. Awful writing I know.
Ahh well. Read if you like!
'I can't do it, General.'
'Well you're going to have to, Colonel.'
'Please don't ask me to do this!' Jack said almost pleadingly.
'Don't make me order you to. You're the only one who can do it…. Jack.' With a simple look at his Colonel, the General calmed down a bit.
'Jack, you understand why the regulations are there now?'
'Yes I understand! Don't you think I would've already done something if I didn't?
But General, a piece of paper with some words on it can do nothing!.. when it comes to feelings.
The General's eyes filled with tears of remorse and pity.
'Jack you're the one who knows her best.'
'And I wish I didn't, damnit! Life at the SGC would've been so much easier is she were not in it.'
General Hammond's eyes widened in disbelief.
'Hey! I know full well that we'd all be dead if she weren't here, you don't need to remind me of that!'
'Jack, you're wasting time. You have to do it now.'
Jack's agitation upped five more level; much like the level of a five year old needing to go to the toilet. He wished he were five years old. He wished he had the ability to chuck a tantrum like that. Scream and kick on the floor in defiance.
'No, General!'
George Hammond's face turned deep red, like a thunderous parent.
'I'm ordering you to go now, Colonel O'Neill.'
Jack's face turned deathly pale. He marched over to where Sam lay on the floor and picked up the zat gun next to her, his eyes burning with unshed tears that were refusing to stop creating.
He surreptitiously touched her face so that the Genera; couldn't see and shot Sam with the zat gun, twice.
Sam's lifeless body disintegrated, disappeared. Jack gave a small sob; he didn't even have her body to cling to.
Jack managed to lift himself off the floor and glare at the General, standing sadly in front of him.
He was crying too.
