Recollection of the Divine Battle
At twilight, when the warriors of the tides
And clouds stood
In bold attention of the rising sea
Upturned and held aloft their swords
On the pinnacle of the holy road
All turned, eyes looking on, when he
On haunches raised, all atoms poised, came lumbering;
The reaper, whose wrath no man dare oppose
Mouth opened, behemoth roared, and bade to him
As if by gravity
The flames of cannon fire
Then the valiant soldiers charged;
Thrust into the bladed riptide
All struck, slashing down the beasts, and he
In wild rage, all atoms poised, let loose his fury;
The reaper, whose strength no man dare restrain
A shadow fell across the sun
Caught there, and corpses lay
Decimated by the blast, and the rock face
Now lay as a burning chasm
At the pinnacle of the holy road
The men lay silent, crushed as insects are, by he
Who came, all atoms poised, in blood lust;
The reaper, whose life no man dare destroy
And then, in perfect clarity, I witnessed
The shadowed form of the conqueror;
I caught my breath in awe of him
And bowed my head in fear of him
But he, haloed in the edge of the cloudburst
Cast down his thousand eyes upon me
And, in incremental stance
Bowed, to me, his mighty head
At twilight, when the warriors of the tides
And clouds stood
In bold attention of the rising sea
I stood alone, in the blood-drenched eve
In the ruins of the holy road
Whence all the spirits of the dead looked on, to he
That spoke his secret order
The reaper, whose will no man dare ignore
And he said
I am Sin, the bringer of death
I am Sin, and so you too shall be
