Miss Moony would like to say that she doesn't own Harry Potter and that she had no help with this story from Miss Wormtail, Miss Padfoot or Miss Prongs.

One-shot, about (obviously) the house where Harry was born.

The House in Godric's Hollow

In the town of Godric's Hollow, at an unknown location in Wales, there are many houses, but one of them is greater than all the others. It is the largest house in the town, and it is located right at the end of the main road. Every road in Godric's Hollow leads to this house.

The house in Godric's Hollow has seen many families come and go over the generations. It has seen witches and wizards; it has seen squib families, and even the occasional Muggle. But the house in Godric's Hollow has only felt that one of its families actually belonged there.

When the Potters stopped renting out the house in Godric's Hollow, their son decided that it would be a nice place to live, and he moved in with his redheaded wife. They came, and the house in Godric's Hollow cradled them inside its walls; kept them safe from all who wished them ill.

After a short time, the Potters had a baby boy. The baby was named Harry, and the house in Godric's Hollow knew that this family was completed by his presence.

But then an evil man came to the house in Godric's Hollow. He carried a seventh of a soul, and he wished the Potters more harm than the house in Godric's Hollow could keep them from.

The house in Godric's Hollow screamed in protest as its family was slaughtered, and crumbled from the inside out as the evil man and his spells were destroyed by little baby Harry, and it burnt in agony as the last of the Potters was taken from it by a large man on a motorbike.

Years later, the charred, broken remains of the once proud house in Godric's Hollow reached out as they felt a faintly familiar presence enter it, and once and for all, it died, embracing its lost child.
