The Ritual
Midnight
A figure moves silently in the shadows at night closing in on her pray with a dagger in hand she sneaks up on a man and slices his throat and some of the blood falls on intent but then the blood is collected in an urn and the body is taken with the killer.
The next morning
"Police are baffled by the blood spill at the alley of Jefferson and 14th the crime scene is a blood coating with no evidence of any people being there"said the woman on the news "huh"said Kitty looking at the scene "hey Kitty what are you looking at?"asked Kurt teleporting into the room "just the news"said Kitty "in a related story known mutant-rights activist Jon Savage went missing last night police were contacted after Mr. Savage failed to return home after a late night trip to the grocery store"said the woman and Kitty went to get some food from the Kitchen then Jean came in with the mail "hey Kitty you got a letter from home"said Jean handing her a small box which Kitty opened and pulled out a gold necklace with the eye of Anubis in the middle of it and a letter that Kitty read then Kitty put the necklace on and then Professor Xavier called all the X-men into his office "as you all know a pro-mutant activist was kidnapped last night we believe that it may be an act against mutants in general"said Xavier "Professor couldn't this just be a psycho murderer killing without rhyme or reason?"asked Scott "Scott it's possible"said Xavier "Professor couldn't someone just have had a problem with Savage?"asked Jean "yes these are all possible the truth is we would need more evidence to prove anything we just felt it would be a good idea to have you all be alert"said Xavier and everyone left "hey Kitty nice jewellery"said Jubilee "thanks I got it today from my mother"said Kitty "hey Kitty phone"said Scott and Kitty took the cordless from him and walked away to get some privacy "hi dear" said Kitty's mother Terri Pride "hi mom I got the package and the message"said Kitty then Terri started talking softly and Kitty interjected every so often "everything is set up for two weeks, I love you"said Terri "I love you too"said Kitty hanging up "so Kitty why'd you get the necklace?"asked Jubilee at dinner "my mom said that she thought I'd like it"said Kitty "hey why did your mom want to talk to you?"asked Scott coming up to her "my mom wanted to remind me to fast"said Kitty "why do you need to fast?"asked Scott "I have a ritual in two weeks and I need to fast in preparation"said Kitty "oh"said Scott not thinking about it "well Jubilee you want to get some thing to eat if I need to start starving myself tomorrow I should eat something now"said Kitty "yeah lets get Bobby and go"said Jubilee and the two of them left and went into town leaving a very perplexed Scott.
The next day at school everyone was on edge because of the attack and they felt that their might be another attack this time against one of them but school went by normally and everyone went to class and then at lunch Kitty sat with Lance away from everyone else but neither was afraid of being attacked but Lace thought it was just because she knew he could protect her and it made him feel good about everything but the brotherhood and X-men sat in larger groups and Lance was trying to get Kitty to eat "Lance I'm not allowed to eat I'm fasting"said Kitty "why you're thin enough already"said Lance "Lance it's not a diet I can't eat for religious purposes"said Kitty "fine but I'm going to eat is that okay?"asked Lance "yes it's fine"aid Kitty drinking some water
