Authors Notes: This is in answer to a challenge from my Dr Who mad friend. She had not seen the episode that this refers to, and neither have I. This is based on HER very short description of a preview. The challenge was to write something short, based on what happens after they leave. Tell me how accurate I am! It's always interesting writing something about which you know nothing. Here is the description i was basing this story on:
"The Doctor and Rose land on the planet Barcelona... it's populated with dogs... that have no sense of smell. She thought it would be cute... but in fact, it smells VERY bad! "
So, tell me what you think!
"Oh. My God. I can't believe I actually was asking to go. I never want to go back to that planet again. " Rose said, almost laughing in her disgust, as she stumbled into the Tardis, shutting the door.
"Wasn't it great?" the Doctor grinned, moving some levers.
Rose did laugh now. "No! I used to like dogs!"
"So you don't want me to get you a puppy then?"
"..Would you?"
"No."
"Aw! It could live in one of the rooms here… Earth dogs are still good!"
"As much as I like cleaning up after small animals, No. Didn't you see what those dogs did to the outside of the Tardis? It's going to take weeks for that to wear off. I'm not touching it."
"I'd take care of the dog! I kept my goldfish alive for six years or something, and that was when I was seven! I've always wanted a dog you know…"
"I can't believe you're asking me for a dog, a mere thirty seconds after we left the planet of a million firehydrants! Especially when I was only joking about getting a dog. I had a dog once, you know. I don't think I'll get another one for a while. After all, I already have to look after you!"
"Hey! For one, I can look after myself. And secondly, earth dogs are different! They're cute, they're cuddly, and no where near as smelly."
"Speaking of which…"
"yeah yeah. Trust me, I'm going!" She wrinkled her nose, and walked around a corner to find herself a shower. She poked her head back around and called back."And so should you!"
