This is just a Sheloyd one-shot I just wanted to get out of my system. Sheloyd's my favorite pairing, so I wanted to write something about it. This is my first romance fic, so please let me know if you think this could've been better. The fic is set during the dance party.

May I Have This Dance?
Lloyd walked into the banquet hall and looked around. He saw Raine and Regal talking by the wall, Genis nervously trying to start a conversation with Presea, (his face was beet red), and Zelos introducing Colette to some random nobles that happened to be there. Everyone, he noticed, was in the formal outfits the princess had given them for rescuing her. He continued to look around and noticed someone was missing. Oh, right. Sheena wanted me to meet her on the terrace, he thought. He went upstairs and found Sheena where she said she'd meet him. She looked over at him.
"Hey, Lloyd." she said.
"Hey, Sheena. Whoa! You're actually wearing girls' clothes!"
She raised an eyebrow. "What's that supposed to mean?"
"Nothing. It's just surprising. You look cute, though!"
Sheena giggled and blushed at this. "Thanks, Lloyd. You don't look too bad, yourself."
It was Lloyd's turn to blush. "Thanks."
They both stood there in silence, both thinking the same thing.
Oh, Goddess, she's beautiful, thought Lloyd I want to tell her how I feel, but what if she doesn't feel the same way? She might, but still…
Wow, he's handsome, thought Sheena I want to say how I feel about him, but he might just like me as a friend…
Lloyd then broke the silence. "Hey Sheena, do you want to…uhh…"
"Do I want to what?"
"Do want to get something to eat?" Lloyd began slapping himself mentally. Stupid! Stupid! Stupid!
Sheena looked slightly disappointed. "Alright."
They went downstairs to the buffet table, where Lloyd promptly began to stuff his face. Sheena just watched him. He looks so cute when he's eating, she thought smiling to herself. Lloyd continued to shovel food into his mouth. It's now or never, he thought I'm gonna tell her.
Lloyd swallowed his last bit of food. "Sheena?"
"Yeah?"
"Do you…Do you want to dance?" he felt his face burn as he said this.
Sheena smiled. "I'd love to."
They walked out onto the dance floor where several other couples were dancing. Sheena put her arms around Lloyd's neck and he put his around her waist. They stood there revolving slowly on the spot and after a few minutes, Sheena put her head on Lloyd's chest. Lloyd felt his face burn again. Then Sheena said "Lloyd, what are you thinking about right now?"
Lloyd smiled and said, "You."
Sheena lifted her head off his chest and pressed her lips to his. He was surprised at first, but returned it. They broke apart and Lloyd said, "I love you, Sheena."
Happy tears began to fill her eyes. "I love you, too, Lloyd."
The two stood there and kissed again, this time more passionately. They didn't seem to notice that everyone in the banquet hall saw and were applauding. They completely ignored Zelos' yells of "You go, Lloyd!". They just stood there wishing that the moment could last forever.
