Dawn just broke over the horizon as the Black Pearl cut through the choppy waters of the early morning. Will Turner--scourge of the seven seas--stood at the helm, gaze resting firmly on the horizon with a loose grip on a peg of the wheel.
Will's appearance had not changed much in the time passed since the whole adventure with rescuing Elizabeth from Barbossa. Curled brown hair still tied back, with shirt and breeches. In his time aboard the Pearl he had learned to always keep his sword strapped firmly a his hip.
None of the crew were awake yet, so Will continued to revel in his time alone with the Pearl. He had grown very familiar with the ship. He could see why Jack liked it so much. But none of that mattered now. For these few morning hours all was clear to him.
Now he was scourge of the seas, known by some as Bloody Turner. He had decided some time ago that it wasn't such a bad sea name. It had a ring to it, and all.
Will squinted his eyes against the morning sunlight encompassing and eradicating the unforgiving blackness of the night to blend to the colors of the morning light.
None dared cross the path of the Pearl under any previous captain, and this one was no different, no ship came against the Pearl and lived to tell the tale. He was the-------
"Oi, Will!" a voice called behind him. It was Jack, "Tighten up th' riggin' would ye?" Gibbs came beside Jack to watch as Will shook off his day dream and got to work.
Gibbs shook his head as Will walked off, "Bloody Turner, always wit' 'is head in th' clouds."
Jack just nodded, "Aye, bu' wha' can it hurt?"

Authoresses Notes: I wanted to try my hand at a one shot, so this is just a very short silly thing that popped into my head. I decided to pen it out since I haven't written anything in a while, and I don't want to get too rusty. I hope you like it, or at the very least don't hate it too much.
