Fangirl's Dream

Sirius opened his eyes slightly, and an intense white light almost blinded him. He quickly closed his eyes, thinking about the light's sudden brightness. He was in the Department of Mysteries, but the Department of Mysteries was dark, and... loud, he thought, noticing the silence for the first time. Then, his curiosity overwhelming his knowledge of the painful light, opened his eyes fully and slowly sat up.

He saw a very familiar person smiling at him. This person, who was sitting in a chair in a corner of the room, had messy black hair, hazel eyes, and glasses.

"Hello," James Potter said. "Who are you?"

Sirius stared at him. "You... you don't remember me?" Sirius asked slowly.

James looked at him carefully. "You do look... a little familiar..."

"Prongs, it's me! Padfoot!"

James stared. "But you're not supposed to be dead yet..." He was slowly becoming see-through.

"Uh, Prongs?" Sirius said, pointing at James' feet.

"Hm. Well, somebody else'll be along in a minute," said James, looking down at his now completely transparent feet with interest. "Bye Siri!" He disappeared.

Lily slowly appeared where James had been standing.

"Lils?" Sirius said, surprised.

"Sirius! What? You're not supposed to be-"

"Dead, yeah, that's what Prongs said."

Lily blinked at him, then reached down and helped Sirius stand up. "Well, if you're here..."

"I meant to ask Prongs- where is here, exactly?" Sirius interrupted.

"Heaven, Sirius." Lily slowly faded out of Sirius' sight.

"Bye, Lils," he said, but there was no answer.

A woman Sirius had never seen before now appeared in front of him.

"Who are you?" he asked, somewhat confused.

"J.K. Rowling," she answered. "You don't know me, but I know you." She smiled. "I'm sorry you had to go through all that, Sirius. James and Lily were right, you're not suposed to be dead yet."

Slowly, she and the white light were replaced with the Department of Mysteries. Sirius saw the black veil hanging on the dais, but there were no people. He had obviously spent more time than it had seemed in Heaven. Sirius got up and walked away from the dais, forgetting a little bit more about Heaven with every step he took.

RIIIIING!

Yami blinked, glancing over at the alarm clock. "Dangit..."

No, I'm not dead. Sorry for not updating Tigerlily and a White Stag (TWS) for so long, but I have SERIOUS writer's block and can't seem to think up a prank for them to do. > This was a songfic to Tears in Heaven by Eric Clapton, but since FF doesn't like songfics, I took the song out.

Yes, I do go by Yami. And I never really had this dream, but it is kinda what I was hoping would happen. Maybe without J.K., but that's the way my dream would probably go. Plus it makes for a nice title.
