(A conversation between Lily and Sirius)

"Don't say you hate him. You can't really hate him."

"I do hate him! He's so infuriatingly conceited!"

"Don't use large words with me, Evans, you know I don't do well with those."

"You...why are you so interested anyways?"

"Moi? Interested? Of course not."

"Well, then why are you interrogating me?"

"Didn't we have a talk about those big words?"

"Oh, forget it! You're just like him, you know that?"

"I'm nothing like him. Me and Prongs- complete opposites. As you can plainly see, I'm handsome and well-coordinated while Prongs is...well, not."

"And then you get irritated when I insult him?"

"That wasn't an insult! I was simply stating the differences between good friends. Now, were getting off subject. About James..."

"I told you, I can't stand him. Stop trying to throw us together!"

"I never said I was trying to 'throw' you two together, although I'm thrilled you thought about it that way. You two should go out."

"You! I can't believe you!"

"What? You brought up the subject."

"Well, I'm not going to go out with him, you know. He's just...so..."

"Infuriatingly conceited, yes, we know. You really do hate him, then?"

"Well, I don't hate him. If he stops acting so egotistic then maybe..."

"Hmm? What was that, Lily? Was that a maybe?"

"Maybe it was. He put you up to this, didn't he?"

"I have no earthly clue who you're talking about, dear Lily."

"James. He put you up to this!"

"Maybe he did...looks like neither of us are being completely truthful, are we?"

"Well, I am."

"Then I guess I'm not being completely truthful, then."

"You? Then what is it you're not be telling the truth about?"

"Ah, dear Lily, that's for me to know and you to find out."

"Whatever. Now, if you don't mind, I have to go do something."

"Going off to find James, are you?"

"Quiet, you."

"Yeah...heh...yeah. Good luck to the happy couple."

"Hmm? What did you say?"

"Nothing, Lily. It was nothing."
