Okay, um, I don't even know why I'm writing this, because frankly, Gollum scares the living crap outta me. Laugh and I kill you. Anyway, this short fic is about Smeagol/Gollum and an incident that I thought up. It takes place after his torture in Mordor and before he starts following the fellowship. This is a conversation with himelf. Gollum talks weird, so don't be surprised if things are spelled weird.
Disclaimer: I don't own Lord of the Rings, but I would be happy if you could come put Gollum in solitary confinement.
"I HAVE NOTHING LEFT TO LIVE FOR!" Smeagol wailed loudly.
"Of course you do."
"Shut up! It's all your fault!"
"My fault? You're the one that killed her."
Smeagol turned his head to the corpse that lay there.
He began to weep. "WHAT HAVE I DONE?"
"There, there; we did well. Small human was only a distraction."
"From what? I hate you! She was kind to us! Ands now she's gone forever!" he sobbed.
"What do you mean? Without me, you'd be dead! Besideses, do we need to remind you whats is more important?"
"What was more important than Small Human! She was kind to us! She didn'ts drive us out! She feds us! Treated us like friends…"
"And you killed her. You're not a very good friend."
Smeagol nearly ripped out what hair he had.
"STOP IT!" Gollum hissed. "What about the precious?"
"I DON'T CARE!"
"DON'T CARE?"
"The precious was nothing to Small Human. I cared for her!"
"YOU DON'T CARE ABOUT THE PRECIOUS?"
"Not anymore!"
"Whats is the point of thats? If Small Human's gone, what is there left to lives for than the precious?"
"…"
"Yesssssssss…you know."
"I loved Small Human…"
"Love? HA! You CAN'T love!"
"…"
"That's right…it's the truth."
"LIES!"
"Is it?"
"I-"
"See! I this, I that! What about US?"
"I-we…"
"We must continue searching…"
"…"
"Well?"
"Yesss…"
"Good."
Gollum ran out of the barn. Before he vanished completely, he turned round one last time to look at the girl he had killed. The one who had accepted him. The one he loved.
By the time the village had found the young woman's body, the only thing that could've been associated with her death were the tears that stained her eyes, and some separate tears that stained the ground.
