Disclaimer: sigh I DO NOT own Chrno Crusade….If I did, then Rosette wouldn't die and Chrno and Rosette would have gotten together long before the watch stopped.
A/N: Some of you probably want to know what's up with my Star Wars fic and me. To be honest, I can't think of anything to write. I'm suffering from extreme writer's block, but this one shot kinda just popped into my head when I was listening to the Chrno Crusade ending theme, which what this story is titled after. Well….now that this is out of the way, on with the story!
Chrno- as SW already mentioned, she does not own Chrno Crusade or any of the characters, she is merely borrowing us for a time.turns to SW….and how long will we be here?
SW-…ummm…...I'm not sure as of yet….maybe forever….but….I'm taking good care of all of you, hai?
Chrno-yea….all except for Aion.
SW-…well he deserves it.AUUUGH! We're wasting time! On with the fic! Oh…and for good measure…I do not own the song featured in this story.
Sayonara Solitia; Farwell Solitaire
Walking down the halls of the Magdalene Order's New York headquarters, I think to myself as I clutch the pocket watch tightly. What if I hadn't made the contract with Rosette? Would I have survived our first battle with Aion at the Seventh Bell orphanage? Would Joshua have been missing this long? Would we have ever defeated Aion? Would my horns have been returned? Would I have been given a second chance at love? As these thoughts race through my mind, singing reaches my ears. y head snaps up as I realize that it's not Azmaria signing, but someone else. I walk towards the sound and find Rosette, sitting in a chair and looking out over the grounds of the Order. I stand there, just staring at her, wondering, I never knew she could sing…As I listen to her song, the words finally hit me.
"Mukuchi ni naruhodo suki yo yasashi sa doushitara mieru no
dakishimete motto tsuyoku atataka na mune wo shinjiru yo
Sayonara solitia ashita he…"
The fountain out side could be heard from through the open window, but I ignored it. Instead, I focused on the words coming from my Rosette.
"konnani daiji na hito ni doushite meguri aetano to
itai hodo tsunagu yubi de sabishi sa kienu yume wo miru no
sayonara solitia
mou hitori jyanai kara ashita mezameru no anata to
daisuki na hito dakara ne sobani iru mamotteru
anata he tsunagaru daichi ni umerete yokatta"
When she finishes, I realize that I've started to cry. She turns to face me, and smiles. I quickly embrace her and hold her tightly to me. "Why sing such a sad song?" I ask. She shakes her head and whispers, "It's not sad….I was just saying goodbye."
"To who?"
"Because…. I'm not lonely anymore."
I can feel my tears run down my face, while I feel her's soak through my shirt. We stand like this, holding each other and watching the sunset behind the walls of the Magdalene Order. Soon, she's fallen asleep, and I tuck her in. Sitting on the edge of bed, my eyes follow the moon, as it crosses the heavens. …"Sayonara Solitia" I whisper to the moon as I climb in next to Rosette. As soon as I settle down, she snuggles closer to me. "Ashiteiru, Chrono."
"Ashiteiru, Rosette." She sighs and falls asleep again. I hold her close and shut my eyes." Farewell Solitaire." I whisper as darkness claims me.

SW-……I was just looking through the list of CC fics, and I saw one that was titled "Farewell Solitaire" and I must say, it is a hell of a lot better than mine! You all should really read it. It's so sad, but it's beautiful also. You did a great job, tamashiix! Oh…and if I spelled anything wrong in this, like say, any of the Japanese, please tell me. Well…….that's it for this.
