Snow Day
HL: A poem I came up with one snow day. It was given to a friend of mine...on accident. Complete accident.
Summary: Draco reflects on the girl he saw playing in the snow one day before she disappeared after her 5th year at Hogwarts and it's not his girlfriend now.
The day is drab and gray
Looking out my window I see the white snow fall to the ground
The lake is frozen, children skating on ice
The ice that would soon fade
The ice that would break
The snow would soon melt
Into the spring time
The spring we all await
Make the cold go away
Make the snow go away
Make the hurt go away
Walking now out in the cold
Watching couples skate
Watching them sit watching their kids or siblings
Wishing the snow day would go away
Scarves tied tight, gloves, and hats are brilliant colored against the drab gray
The snow will melt
Breaking the barrier around my heart
Let the sun shine for once in my life
Let me see the face that I saw before
On that snow day last year
Walking out into the village
Seeing the many students sitting in the pub
I look for the face I saw that one snow day last year
All the younger children laughing and playing
The older talking and laughing
None are the face I saw that one snow day last year
The snow will melt
Breaking the barrier around my heart
Let the sun shine for once in my life
Let me see that face I saw before
On that snow day last year
Walking away from the village I walk towards the old abandoned house
The one that no one dares to go near
The one that they all said only one person had gone in and never came out
Hoping and thinking that it wasn't you
The year we lost it all, love, and friendship
I still wonder where you are…..
You can't be far from where I stand
You said you'd never leave
You'd never leave me alone on a cold day in winter
HL: Okay yeah it kind of sucks
