Mother's Know Best-
"Summer stop that!" Katie scolded her upon seeing Summer biting her nails, "Do you want him to put that ring on a finger with your nail like that!"
Summer sighed, "Katie! I'm nervous!"
Katie sighed and sat down next to Summer, "Summer! He is perfect for you, and you know that."
Summer sighed, "Oh I know that! It's just I don't want to trip!" she exclaimed.
Katie laughed, "Summer, just for that I hope you do trip!"
Summer's mouth flew open and smacked Katie in the arm, "Now I'm cursed!"
There was a knock on the door and Ben came in, "Hey, come on we're ready."
Summer got up and smiled, "Okay, let's go."
Katie, Marta and Michelle walked out in front of Summer, all of them in matching pink dresses.
"Ready?" Ben asked.
Summer grabbed a hold of her brother's arm and was prepared to walk down the aisle but he stopped her. "Summer, you don't have to do this. I know you don't really love him."
Summer put on a smile, "I do Ben. Forget about him, and focus on my future husband. You'll get to like him." Summer said.
Ben sighed, "Don't forget, it's never too late to back out."
Summer rolled her eyes, "Come on."
Ben walked Summer down the aisle and she smiled. She saw the whole band and crew there. The band had broken up 2 years ago, but she had kept in touch. She then smiled at Reilly, her future sister in law and Madison he other sister in law.
"Summer Ann Hathaway, do you take Brad Nelson Smith to be your husband?" Summer opened her mouth and from the corner of her eye, she saw someone enter. He was tall, he had blonde spiky hair and big brown eyes, and that's when all the memories came back…..

"Hey babe, Happy birthday!" he said handing her a package.
She smiled and sighed. "I told you, I didn't want anything!"
He chuckled, "I saw it, and it screamed Tink. I had to buy it."
She smiled and opened a box and gasped. It was a diamond necklace, "Oh my god."

He lay next to her, looking up at the stars. "It's beautiful." she breathed.
He looked at her, "I know."
She looked at him and smiled, "Always the charmer." she said.

"Morning." he greeted her with a kiss on the cheek and flowers.
"Thanks!" she said and he embraced her in a hug.

"Do you love me?" He asked sitting on the swing next to her.
She looked over at him, "How could I not?"
He chuckled, "No matter what, I will always love you."
She smiled, "Even if I marry someone else?" she asked.
He looked at her sadly, "Even if you marry someone else."

"I'm sorry." he said through the tears.
"I'm sorry too." she said harshly. She grabbed the ring off her finger and threw it to the ground, "I'm sorry I even looked at you."
She slammed the door, but not without seeing him collapse to the floor in tears.

Even if you marry someone else…..
It ran through her head over and over. "Summer?" Brad asked trying to get her attention.
Summer looked at the man. He mentioned to her neck, and she noticed the necklace she was wearing. It was a diamond one. Not just any old one, the one he gave her. She smiled and looked at Brad. The other man had made so many mistakes, but Brad…he always stayed loyal to her.
She remembered what her dad had said to her, just before passing away, "Give him a second chance. You have to let love slip away to know that it is love."
She became teary eyed. He dad had said to give him a second chance. It was his last wish.
Her mother said to her, "Forget about that boy. He's not worth your time. You have Brad now. He's successful! He can support you." Her mother had always hated him, but loved Brad.
Summer sighed, "I do." she said. She wanted to be with the man, butcouldn't. He couldn't give her what she wanted, what she needed.
After all, mothers know best.
And she was never daddy's little girl.
