It took forever but I edited this poem and made it longer…the end may not match the beginning, so I'd like feedback (if anyone cares).
Mistakes:
A youthful mistake,
Something precious lost,
Being reborn
Eternal regret...
A dogs life,
This quest for inner peace...
Nobody to blame but ourselves
Haunting guilt
Eating away
Starving my heart
To feed my mind
No one understands
The pain we feel
The betrayal we faced
It's harder because
The betrayal was ours
And nothing can change
That simple fact…
