A/N hey every one! This is my first fanfiction that I have done by my self! All my others were group projects so I hope you like it!

The letter

Ron and Harry were sitting on the Gryffindor common room struggling with there potion's homework which they had put off until the last minute, as usual." Harry what is the antidote to a love potion?" Ron asked while scratching his head.

"Dunno, I'm not Hermione." Harry said "Speaking of which, where is Hermione?" Then, just on cue, came prancing in from the girl's dormitory looking extremely happy. "Guess what?" said Hermione. Her cheeks were flushed from excitement!

"What?" asked Harry. "I just got a letter from Victor!" squealed Hermione.

"Yeah… … so you have been writing to him for?"

"What?" asked Harry. "I just got a letter from Victor!" squealed Hermione.

"Yeah… … so you have been writing to him for like a year." Said Ron bitterly. He had never liked Victor Krum sense he had taken Hermione to the Yule ball. "Yes, but I know but this letter is different!"

She held up the letter so Ron and Harry could read it

My dearest Hermione,

I have been giving a week off of school to refresh myself for the semi- final Quidditch match in two weeks. I thought I would come and visit you at Hogwarts, I have already asked Professor Dumbledore if it would be all right he automatically agreed. Maybe we could some quality time together.

"Quality time as in date," whispered Ron to Harry.

"Shhhhhh!" whispered Harry

Please write back, I will be waiting with bated breath.

Harry looked up at Hermione who was grinning from ear to ear. "Well?" asked Hermione waiting for there reaction.

"Well are you going to go?" asked Harry

"What do you mean?"

"Come on Hermione, you know he what he means by quality time, is he wants to bring you on a date!" Hermione blushed."Well" she said slowly as she giggled. Then she looked over at Ron who was staring dumbfounded at the letter. He could not believe it. He knew Hermione and Krum were writing to each other, but after a few months and nothing progressing he became at ease. If only he could tell Hermione how he felt he would be the one going on the romantic date with the beautiful Hermione, but he knew he was to shy. "Ron?" asked Hermione pulling him out of his daydream."Wha-?" asked Ron snapping out of his imagining

"Are you all right?" "oh ummm…..yeah I am fine " stammered Ron "Oh good well I am going to go write back to Victor telling him I can not wait for him to come!" Then she ran off through the portrait hole, skipping and humming a long the way. Harry saw Parvatti and Lavender grinning and then slyly follow Hermione out.

"Can you believe her!" asked Ron"What, the fact that she is finally going on that date she has been dreaming ?" "What ever!" said Ron.Then he sat back to try and finish his potions essay, but ended up day dreaming about Hermione.
