This is a really depressing poem.It's basically about people who are rejected by society and turn inside themselves rather than face reality.And it talks about how horrible it is inside them,with nothing but shadows.But it's so much better than what awaits them in reality.So they stay there,and slowly die without comfort,and without light.

When you've nowhere left to go
The world has turned its back
Know there is a place for you
In shades of grey and black
And in this grey
There is no room for trust
Everything that's positive
Has long been turned to dust
And in this black
There is no wrong or right
Everyone gave up long ago
On that pointless fight
But in every shade
There lacks real truth within
And the haze of reality
