She smiled as she wiped back tears. They were tears of happiness at seeing him again – at knowing he would always be there. She would cry no more.
He was filled with joy as he gazed at her beautiful face. All his doubts were gone. No longer would he have to struggle with himself, wondering if he had made the right decision. They were here together, and everything was perfect.
A small pause, and then they entered a strong embrace. Everything was going to be okay. It all worked out.
"You were right," she said.
"I told you," he said.
