A/N: To cheer up my fellow D/G-ers I've written my take on what Draco was REALLY thinking about in the scene on the Hogwarts Express. Hehe .Oh yeah, there's a few lines taken from HBP, you'll most likely recognize them, I just changed the names. I.E. Malfoy to Draco. Stuff like that. Yeah.

"Potter, precious Potter, obviously he wanted a look at 'the Chosen One,' sneered Draco, "but that Weasley girl! What's so special about her?" He knew he was lying when he said this, in truth, he knew firsthand just how special the littlest Weasley was.

"A lot of boys like her," said Pansy, watching Draco out of the corner of her eyes for his reaction. "Even you think she's good looking, don't you, Blaise, and we all know how hard you are to please!" Draco couldn't help but feel a bit jealous at Pansy's comment about Ginny. She was his, after all. He hated how those stupid blokes chased after her like some lovesick puppies. Oh how he wished he could hex them all and tell them to stay from what was his. At this thought, he inwardly grinned to himself. His. He liked the sound of that.

All his life he never truly had something that was really his. Sure, he had money, but that wasn't really his, just something given to him, then came his position as Seeker, once again not his, he only got that position thanks to the influence of his father, the one and only, Lucius Malfoy. All the things he ever had in life was given to him because of what his name stood for, not for who he truly was as a person. And that was exactly what made Ginny so special. She was with him, he knew, not because of his money, or his name, but for who he really was. For who she saw him as.

He inwardly cursed himself for getting distracted like this. He knew Pansy was baiting him. Lately, he noticed that Pansy had become extra observant of him and his actions, or rather, his reactions to certain things, especially his reaction every time the Weasley girl's name was mentioned. He knew of this, of course; he also knew that she suspected that he was somehow different. And that something had caused him to be this way. Little did Pansy know that she wasn't that far off. Someone, not something, had changed him. Finally snapping out of his thoughts, he listened intently to what Blaise was saying.

"I wouldn't touch a filthy little blood traitor like her whatever she looked like," Blaise said coldly.

At hearing this, Draco could feel his temper rising, but knowing he couldn't let his temper get out of control, lest he do something he would regret later (like hexing Blaise's brain off,) so tried to look calm by sinking back across Pansy's lap and allowing her to resume the stroking of his hair. Once he was settled comfortably, he couldn't help but let his mind float back to what Blaise had said about Ginny. How dare he insult her like that! He thought to himself angrily. He never wanted to hex anyone else more than he wanted to hex Blaise at that moment. He knew he couldn't, of course, if he did he knew he would face dire consequences, like Pansy finally figuring out exactly who had changed him and he'd be damned if he let Pansy, let alone anyone, find out just who that someone was.

It was their little secret, after all.
