Ritsuka was walking home with Yuiko; the cute yet hyper girl had invited him to go out and visit the pet store. Ritsuka couldn't really refuse as he knew that if he tried to she would probably just cling to him until he gave in.
"Ne, ne Ritsuka-kun," she said happily once they reached the store, "look, look!" She held out a small puppy, its small tail wagging happily.
The shorter boy looked up and smiled when she held the puppy out, causing Yuiko to smile back even brighter. "Ne, Ritsuka-kun, wanna hold her; she's really soft and cute ne?" Her voice was hopeful; she had noticed lately that Ritsuka was troubled, and this was the only way she could think of to cheer him up.
"Alright." Ritsuka slowly took the puppy from Yuiko and held it in his arms; his ears perked up as he pet its soft fur. "You're right, she's very soft."
He didn't mean to but he let his mind wander to 3 nights ago. Soubi had upset him once again and he told him to get out and that he never wanted to see him again. He had meant every word as of then and he knew that Soubi would do anything he said, but now he hadn't heard a word from Soubi and he hated to admit it but he did want to see him again.
"Ritsuka-kun..?"
The sound of Yuiko's voice had broken him out of his thoughts. "Ah gomen, you can have her back now. I'm going to go look over at the aquarium." He handed her the puppy and quickly ran off into the other room where the fish were kept.
"Ritsuka-kun..." She sighed softly as she didn't know what else she could do for him. Then the puppy barked happily and licked her face. Giggling cheerfully she said, "Ah stop that, it tickles!"
In the darker room of the aquarium, Ritsuka was looking at the angel fish swimming carefree till someone came and stirred up the water. He sighed softly and whispered, "Soubi..." Then his phone began to vibrate. Picking it up and flipping it open, he saw there was a message:
From: Soubi
To: Ritsuka
Ne, Ritsuka I miss you
Call Me
I Love you
Chu!
Ritsuka blushed slightly and whispered, "Baka!"
