"Starting C-P-R!"Darkness.
Nothing but darkness.
It was all around me…surrounding me…bearing down on me…
It was me.
And then suddenly…
"Breathe!"
Someone was crying. A little girl?
I tried to shout out. Tried to talk to her…comfort her…
But I couldn't.
There was nothing but darkness surrounding me, and I couldn't seem to move.
The girl was whispering something…
"Breathe!""I don't understand!" I wanted to shout. "I can't understand what you're saying!"
But I could do nothing.
And the whispering got louder…
"…your…-is"
"I can't understand you!" I tried to scream into the looming darkness. "Help me!"
"Up me to 400!""…your…Chris…ot…"
"My name is not Chris, though, it's Khalon!" I tried to tell the whispering girl, but felt a strange sensation at the mention of my name.
Almost like speaking about something that doesn't exist.
"Op-…your…Chris…not…-me"
"Clear!"I tried to reach out for the little girl, to help her make me understand.
I wanted to know what she was saying.
And why my name suddenly didn't seem like Khalon anymore…
"Open your…-es…Chris…not…-ime…ye-…"
"How? What do I open? I can't see anything to open!" I tried to yell, but again, there was nothing…only silence…and darkness.
"Clear!""Open your eyes Chris, it's not time yet!" The girl shouted in my ears.
Suddenly, I felt like I was being pushed forwards…
Like a diver coming back up for air from the deep end…
There was a tiny hole of light appearing up ahead of me…Everything began to ache and throb again…
And then…
"We've got a pulse!""He's lost a lot of blood…" someone was saying.
"He's still losing it! We need to get him into the OR now! He may have internal bleeding!"
"Get him prepped for a transfusion!"
"But he-"
"Just do it!"
