First Phantom fanfic. Erik (or "The Phantom") with Christine. This is
generally how I thought it should turn out without Raoul. Some chapters
short, some longer. First chapter an intro Rated teen, for more of a mature romance , maybe violence, and defiantly language. Starting when Christine figures out whose that voice in her head is. (Well, when she figures it's the Angel of Music.)
-------
She woke up, with a start, panting slightly. That
voice... it sang again. She mummered to herself, trying not to wake up
the other chorus girls, in the dormitories where she lived.
All the sudden, she knew where she where she belong now. Where she should be. In the church, to light a candle for her father. So she got up, and lightly
tiptoed down to the church room. She passed the main stage; it seemed eerie without voices singing, rehearsing. She continued along, though.
As soon as she reached the familiar room, she gently fell to her knees,
looking at the picture of her father. Her dainty fingers reached for the
matches, and struck one, lighting the candle. As soon as the flame on
the candle started to burn, and a trickle of wax ran down it, the
mysterious voice started to sing to her, seemly coming from above. She looked up, but all she saw was the cracked ceiling. It continued singing, but she paid no attention to exactly what the words were. The voice was beauty in
itself, and listening to it comforted her. Then she looked at the picture of her father again.
She fell into a world of her own memories, and saw her father laying on his deathbed. Her, at the age of seven, was standing next to him, gripping a limp hand. "Child," he mummered, his voice barley audible "Hear I lay, dying. Once I have passed, I shall send you an angel-" He coughed heavily. Her wide eyes seemed even wider, in fear of these words. "An angel of music. I promise, Christine, I promise." His limp hand suddenly felt
limper.
"Father?" She looked at him, tears starting to clot in her eyes "Father!"
Back to her present, the chorus girl opened her eyes again. The voice still surrounded her. "Angel... angel of music?" She mouthed
the words. Then she sang "Are you my angel of music?"
The voice continued to sing.

That was a little confusing, it seems. xX
