"Rick, I need a favor," said Bob Parr to the Bureau official. "Is this line secure?"
"Sure," said Rick. "What's the matter?"
"Southern Methodist rejected Violet's application," said Bob. "Not enough community service."
A pause.
"So what do you want me to do?" said Rick. "Override their applications office?"
"No," said Bob. "Just get her in."
"You know I can't do that, Bob," said Rick. "Being a super isn't a free pass through life. If Violet doesn't meet their requirements..."
"Community service, Rick," said Bob. "Think about it."
Silence for a moment, then: "I'll see what I can do."
"Thanks."
