Hey everyone! Yes, I'm afraid it's time for yet another one-shot. readers start to leave No, wait! This one is a poem done in Ryou's POV and my first attempt at humour. I wrote this a while ago but never uploaded it. Please give it a chance.

Summary: Bakura doesn't want to sleep in the Millennium Ring one particular night but as Ryou only has one bed in his room, Bakura has to sleep on the floor. In the morning, Ryou wakes up at 5 'o' clock but can't get back to sleep so he decides to go for a run...

An Early Morning Run

By Mooncinder

(Ryou's POV)

Waking up at 5am is not a lot of fun,

So to while away the time, I thought I'd go for a run,

But as I reached for my shirt that was across my bed,

I slipped and accidentally trod on my Yami's head.

"Oh no," I thought. "I've done it now" as a yell came from the floor,

So forgetting my shirt, I got to my feet and ran for dear life to the door,

No sooner had I reached the hall, my Yami appeared at the stairs,

Tied up in blankets and not really awake, he still managed one evil glare.

Now I know better than to hang around when he's looking at me like that,

So I shot into the living room, skidding on the mat.

Bellowing like a wounded rhinoceros, my Yami gave chase,

Having seen for himself in the mirror, the footprint on his face.

Abandoning his blankets right in the doorway,

He started looking for me, like a lion hunting its prey,

Hiding under the table, I thought my best bet would be,

To somehow recover my mobile and send an SOS to Yugi.

After sneaking out from my hiding place and throwing an old ball at the curtain,

I raced upstairs to get my phone (if he caught me, I'd be dead for certain),

I hurriedly found the "Bakura's trying to kill me" text already saved in the cell,

Hoping that Yugi was awake otherwise things would not be well.

I knew that my diversion wouldn't fool Bakura for long,

And the sound of him storming up the stairs made me think of a funeral song,

All too soon he had me cornered, grinning an evil, twisted grin,

When all of a sudden, Yugi and Yami arrived, saving me from the mess I was in.

Using the Puzzle, they unlocked the door and ran upstairs to find me,

Yami restrained Bakura while I told them the full story,

After I'd finished, Yami made him promise not to harm me in any way,

But tomb robbers can't be trusted so the next day...

It was my turn to sleep on the floor this time so that Bakura wouldn't complain,

But again, I got up early, having been woken by the rain,

As I rubbed my hand across my face, I saw what looked like black ink,

And couldn't help but grin as I saw the footprint, in the mirror above the sink.

As I said, this is my first try at humour so I hope it's at least a little bit funny. Good? Bad? Whatever you thought, please review. Constructive criticism is very welcome but no flames please. .
