Doing Hard Time….
Lucius glared at his food. He hated it. After making sure that nothing moved in it, he started to eat it slowly.
"Well, at least cook's improved," Dolohov said merrily. Lucius leered at him.
"What?" Dolohov said between mouthfuls. "There used to be a riot every other week about the food." Dolohov seemed right at home. When the others had asked him what he was smiling about when they first arrived at Azkaban, he told them that now the Dementors where gone it was practically Disneyland…
Lucius snorted as Goyle spit out a shoelace.
"Ah, Cook said to keep an eye out for those," Crabbe commented.
"Yes, if I find the shoes I'll be sure to tell him," Malfoy said sarcastically. The food was barely eatable and that was only by the instinct for survival and then the force of habit. The first time Lucius Malfoy received his tray of food he felt goosebumps of disgust. He marched over to Cook.
"There are hairs in my food" he complained in an artic voice.
The other man stared at him unfazed. "And what do you want? A comb?"
And that had been that about Azkaban's cuisine. Not that anything else was better here. When they first arrived the Warden told them they were entitled to one book to pass the time. The Lestrange brothers, being veterans of the establishment, got the hint and asked for War and Peace and Moby Dick respectively. Malfoy asked for a copy of Magical Law just in case he could find a loophole out of there. He was quite certain that the "I was under the Imperius Curse" wouldn't work this time and considering that Sirius Black had enjoyed the institutions hospitality twelve years without a trial, his hopes weren't that high. At least the bright side of it was he was safe from the Dark Lord's Fury.
Lucius ate another reluctant mouthful. Bummer, this was bad…
Author's notes: This is a short dribble that just wouldn't let go…some of the jokes are from Lifer by Arkas, a very talented comic book artist/writer. The g/ns are set in prison and to my knowledge Bad Company, A Rat in my Soup and Doc, I've got to get something off my chest are available in English. I highly recommend them, they are full of wicked humour.
