This is a one-shot, btw. It's just some short thing that popped in my head at 3 in the morning. It's probably a bit choppy, and I haven't even went through it, so sorry if there's any mistakes.

Disclaimer: I don't own Yugioh and blah blah blah.

Silly Hikari. You're always so happy, so cheerful…

So strange.

You act every day, saying you're fine, always smiling, laughing. But I know you're lying, hiding behind that jolly performance. Everyone else is too stupid to notice your pain. But I notice, Hikari. I notice…

You hang out with people that don't even consider you as a friend. More of a 'Ryou's my friend if nobody else is'. A 'backup friend', if you will. Even then, they're not truly your friends. They're just using you, like they always have. Both you and I realize this, though you still have problems coming to terms with it.

That's one of the reasons I've made friends for you, Hikari.

They would be perfect. They wouldn't yell or scream back at you. They wouldn't ever voice they're annoying opinions. They would be mindless dolls, trapped within our game table. Within little wooden bodies that could easily be broken. You'd have friends forever. They would never move away or die

Wouldn't that be nice, Hikari? To have friends that you wouldn't have to fight with? And if you ever got mad at them, all you'd have to do is shatter their small bodies to pieces? It's the same as murder, just you won't get caught no matter what. I rather like the idea. Don't you?

No. You never like my ideas. You don't like my musings, my thoughts. You don't even like my presence. But remember that time the pharaoh sent me to the shadow realm? Didn't it hurt inside? Like you were being torn apart? Your very soul being ripped in half? And afterwards there was nothing but an empty, excruciating void?

I felt it, too, Hikari. By Ra, I felt it, too…

You've always wondered why I hated the pharaoh. You'd hate him, too if he'd caused you as much pain as he did to me. Then again, it wasn't really him. It was his father. But he died before I could get to him, and the new pharaoh then wore the Sennen Puzzle around his neck. My blood. My flesh. My kin.

That's what triggered my hatred, and the fact that he had the same blood flowing through his veins as the man who had killed off my entire village. I'll probably tell you the whole story some day. But not today…no, no, not today…

…You're meeting your friends today. And you're smiling, laughing, and being happy. Frowning, crying, and being depressed. Nobody else but I know your true feelings, Hikari. You're so strange, so weird…you're probably on the brink of insanity, aren't you?

Silly Hikari…

………..…………….

That's it. Please review!
