Loving from the Shadows
In darkness he watched,
And loved.
She was always on his mind.
Consuming and torturing him.
Her voice echoing in his head,
Singing his haunting tunes.
He followed her everywhere,
Like a shadow hidden in the darkness,
Where he watched and loved.
In his prison deep below,
He dreamed of her, wanted her.
And when he didn't haunt her steps,
He wrote beautiful music all for her.
In the day he would watch.
Smile at her mishaps,
And swell with pride at her triumphs.
In darkness he watched, and loved.
At night he'd sing to her,
Come to her as her angel,
And ease her broken heart,
Through the music he offered.
He loved her,
But only in the shadows.
