A/N: Slight HBP spoiler about a certain ship.

This is a very late birthday gift to my dear friend Shalei. I'm not a D/G fan, so this is very short because.. uh.. it's kinda hard to do, lol. I hope you like it anyway. :) Darn, I can't get the margins right...

I know I don't know you,
But I want you so bad.
Everyone has a secret,
Oh can they keep it?
Oh no they can't…

He glared at them across the Great Hall. She was grinning, and obviously happy. Anger welled up inside him at the sight of his nemesis holding hands with her.

"What's wrong?" Pansy asked. Her hand was lightly caressing his left thigh, and he felt a wave of irritation.

"That stupid Potter's getting on my nerves – look at that, that's disgusting! Him and his Weasley girl," he replied with a sneer.

His friends looked over to the Gryffindor table where Harry Potter and Ginny Weasley were sitting beside each other, looking cozy.

"I bet she's in it for the money," he added for good measure.

Pansy, along with several other Slytherins, laughed loudly.

"Hey Weasley!" He shouted to Ginny. "I see you got yourself a sugar daddy! Bet Potter'll be paying for your tuition next year," he taunted.

Ginny simply gave him a haughty look while Harry obviously fumed. "Ignore them," he heard her tell Harry. The couple resumed their conversation and at that moment, he noticed that their hands were linked together, almost hidden under the table.

He dreamed of her that night.

It was the Yule Ball; they were dancing slowly in each other's arms. They were alone, or maybe he didn't notice anyone else but her.

"Gin," he murmured.

She smiled as his fingers trailed down her cheek. He gently lifted her chin and he saw nothing but love in her eyes.

He leaned down and kissed her softly, the way he had always kissed her in all of his other dreams, the way he had always imagined.

But all too quickly, the dream ended, and he awoke sadly, thinking of the days to be spent pretending.

A/N: I don't believe Malfoy really knows muggle phrases, but the phrase was terribly apt so there.
