Armed with naught but your two fists, you must traverse the long winding path ahead of you. Your journey will be filled with peril and death, but the end is ultimate achievement. Embrace this thought, and no matter how long it may take you to go short lengths and how quickly you traverse long ones, you will prevail.

Remember that focusing your mind can be a great advantage over your enemies. Meditation may heal your wounds at an unexpectedly fast rate, as it may also damage your enemies physically, even from a distance, but you cannot strain your mind more than it can take. The martial arts that we study are unique from the others, not needing weapons or tools to aid us. We must rely on strength and our mind to achieve our goals.

This is the path of the monk.
