They have a love/hate relationship.
Him and the rain that is.
Rain makes it hard to see and weighs you down. It can leave a trail when you're trying to disappear.
On the same note, it makes it hard for others to see you, weighs them down, and a heavy enough rain will make it look like you disappeared.
It has both helped and impeded him.
Like that one. The Hikari.
He's helped him and stopped him. Sometimes they want nothing more than to be separated, sometimes they're glad for the other's company.
It's a love/hate relationship.
Like the rain.
