Severus Snape gazed lovingly at his three year old daughter. She looked a lot like him… well kind of.

Rosemary, her name, had silky black hair that curled slightly at the ends, her deep black tunnels of eyes shown a strange twinkle. Like there was light at the end of them. Rosemary had pale skin, but a tinge of pink in her cheeks. Severus couldn't help but smile, her rosy red lips always got dirty at the creases. He could never keep her fully clean.

Even for a little girl, Rosemary could light o room, a heart with her smile. Just like her mother, Dakota Miller.

Dakota was the love if his life. Key word was. She died shortly after giving birth to Rosemary Lyn. Now Rosemary has that spot in his heart and her great grandfather. Albus Dumledore.

"Daddy, did I do something wrong?" Rosemary was confused. She was pretty sure he didn't know about coloring on her bedroom walls.

Her small squeaky voice rang in his ears. "No honey, just thinking."

Rosemary gave a soft "Oh." before finishing her ice cream.

It was her snack before bed. He was trying to fatten her up. Some people were starting to get worried about her sickly appearance.

Severus quickly bathe the girl, and tucked her into bed. Giving her a goodnight kiss on her button nose, before turning of the light like always he whispered.

"Goodnight my special gift."
