Disclaimer: Only the ideas are mine. The characters, places, races and story lines mentioned in my poems belong to Tolkein.

((At school we did a poetry unit and we had to keep a poetry journal. Since I'm so obsessed with LotR the majority of the poems I wrote were about LotR I decided to put up some of my better ones here. I have included the Type of poem – Title of Poem – and Date of Poem for each one. Enjoy))

Limerick – Faramir – 4/3/05

There once was a man from Gondor

Whose father loved his brother more.

He'd try and he'd try

To catch his dad's eye

But he could not please Denethor.

Free Poem about food – The Life of a Hobbit – 4/6/05

Oh, what to eat, what to eat?

The bread's gone stale,

The milk has curdled,

The wine's all drunk,

And the pork's been eaten.

Me wife's too busy to make me something

And I'm too lazy to do it myself

Besides, the cellar's much to far to go

To get a lousy piece of cheese.

Well, dear wife, I'm goin' out,

I've had naught to eat in over an hour!

I can hear the Green Dragon a-callin',

And there's nothing here for me to devour.

But don't you worry,

I'll return with time a plenty,

To dine with you for tea.

Clerihew – Fool of a Took – 4/11/05

Pippin, stupid fool of a Took

You should not with large orcs duke

Leave it to the big folk to make the kill

That's how you can help "Mr. Underhill"
