When you're alone, do you ever feel like someone's watching you? Your every more, your every breath? I wish you would. I wish you would notice I'm here. I'll protect you from anything I can, but sometimes… Sometimes it's hard.
You're always running away, off again to save the day, and you don't know. You don't know you can count on me. I've stopped insulting you. Have you even noticed? Do you know how far I would go to keep you out of pain?
Why do you always run off without your friends? You're always leaving them, going into the forest all by yourself… with me. Are you trying to get caught? Are you sick of it all? Do you even notice where you are? I wish you could see. I'm here if you need me.
Why do you leave to be alone? Are you trying to run away from everything, from everyone? What are you trying to do? I don't want you to make a fool of everyone. You have to be strong, or quick, or brave, or whatever it is you heroes do.
How come no one else can see that you're in pain? Or do they just not say a word? I thought they loved you. Everyone always loved you. They hated me; I hated you. It was a nice system we had going until I ruined it.
Why are you always all alone? How come you run off to cry at night? Can't you see you're not alone? Not really. I'll always be there if you see me. If you ever need a hand, just look around. I'd wipe away your tears; I'd love to hold you near. I'd die for you if that was what you wanted. I don't want to be alone anymore, and I'd follow you to the end of time.
