Eyes Opened Blindly
.Prologue.
Bayville Spring Formal
10:34 PM
Green eyes checked her watch before looking back to the dance floor. "10:34 'An Ah still have half an hour left?" Letting out a disgruntled sigh, she rested her head in her hand a continued to watch the couples on the dance floor.
A figure standing against the opposite wall caught her eye. "An' we have a kindred who wears a trench coat to a formal. Ah ain't seen him 'round befoah," she observed to herself.
The head cheerleader, walked over to the young man who was being watched. Rogue, moved back and forth in her chair trying to get a better view of what was happening. "Tha ditz is blockin' mah view." The cheerleader was smiling at the man, a sultry smile of her lips, her hand flirtatiously touching his arm. "An' she calls that a dress? It ain't even coverin' her."
The cheerleader was wearing a red strapless dress that stopped high on her thighs, barely covering anything. The slit on the left side made the dress look even shorter. A pair of three inch black heels made her a few inches shorter than her dance partner. Looking down an her own clothes, the girl smirked. There was nothing wrong with her attire for the evening: a black shin length skirt, a pair on combat boots, a dark red silk shirt and her trench coat. Perfect. Well, until the necessary gloves were brought into the picture.
She continued to watch the scene, while the man took off his jacket and placed it on a nearby chair. Wrapping his arm around the cheerleaders waist, dangerously close to other places, he led her to the dance floor.
"10:57, Houston, three minutes anrquote countin'," she thought as she stood up and put on her trench coat. She was more than ready to leave this little scene. The cheerleader wrapped her arms around the guys neck, playing with the little hairs that were there.
But his attention, for the first time, wasn't on the fille in front of him, but rather on the woman walking towards the door. She had been watching him earlier, he could feel her eyes on him. He was intrigued by her emerald eyes and white bangs.
Feeling someone watching her, she stopped before the door. Her gloved hand on the knob, she looked up and from across the dance floor their eyes met for the first time. Emerald green and red on black.
He watched as the girl walked out of the gym's doors and into the night. "I t'ink Remy's gonna have ta fin' dat belle fille. Dis migh' nat be dat bad o'a place afte' all."
I know, I know ... short. Maybe it'll get longer if people review it. hehe.
