Death toll rises as monster ravages harbour
Shortly after 6:30 yesterday morning, Darling Harbour was struck from the map by a Kaiju (Monster).
Godzilla, the infamous radioactive monster that had destroyed much of Tokyo back in 1954 was confirmed as responsible.
"(Godzilla) Just came right out of the water, standing over the (Pyrmont) bridge. I just ran when I saw him" John Davis, a Café worker spoke to reporters after the event.
"Heard him roar once or twice and saw the IMAX just topple"
Though the attack lasted little more than several minutes, the body count is climbing rapidly with an upward estimation of several thousand.
Much of Darling Harbour is now in ruin. Rescue workers donning radiation suits continue to dig through the rubble of both the Harbourside Centre and the IMAX Theatre. It is doubted that any more survivors will be found.
"It is saddening this has happened, although we're lucky that he swum away and didn't continue into the city itself." Sgt. Morgan, chief of the Australian Kaiju Defence (AKD) spoke on the subject.
"My deepest apologies go out to the families of the victims in such a harsh time."
Japan has come to our aid with the arrival of a G-Force squad, Japan's own anti-Kaiju defence force, who will assist us in recovery from the attack
Mothra, monster moth and spokesperson for the Kaiju, was later questioned though she denied and fore-knowledge of her friends' actions.
