Lost Lothlórien

The title was originally 'Longing for Lothlórien', but this sounds nicer, and I also changed some parts of the poem. But you probably haven't read this before, because I had only submitted this to one poetry contest.

The loveliness of Lothlórien
Has left a mark in my heart
Yet now it leaves me in agony
For I know that land is forever gone

I wandered the woods doleful and so alone
Bade farewell to their ethereal beauty
There I dwelt, but now the laughter was gone
So silent was all that I lived for

Everything beautiful faded away
Never thought it could all decay
But when the day changed into the night
Still so glorious was the sight

But now I am so far from that
Land I held so dear
Now in the Undying Lands
I realize I've shed a tear

So I close my eyes and sigh;
Those memories will never die
Wishing I could relive those lost days of my life
