A/N: The song is 'Misfit' by Amy Studt. I was listening to it, and this just came to me. Be kind review ;)
Hermione awoke at the sound of giggling. She sighed heavily and pulled back the curtains that hung around her bed. There they were. The girls.
So you think you got it all worked out
You got your hotpants on
You got your arse right out. You
Think you're something new and special
And me and my drab-dress, we won't do at all
"Would you mind keeping it down a little?" she asked the Lavender and Parvati. "I could still sleep for another hour."
They just looked at her and started giggle again. Again, she sighed. Every single morning.
Spent so long tryin' to fit the prototype
Kept slippin in the shoes and I never got it right oh
What's the use?
What's the point?
You've got the wrong girl, oh
So Keep what you don't want
Doing down there
Cos I'll be flying higher
Waste your own time
I don't care
Anything you can do, I can do better
When she took of her pyjamas and started putting on some clothes the giggling stopped and she felt curious looks on her back. Then, as she had pulled her outfit on, the giggling started again.
"You doknow that red and purple don't match, right?" Lavender snorted.
Hermione just smiled, shrugged and went downstairs.
All you girls
You look and flip your hair and wonder
why I´m still here, well
You're superficial
I'm a misfit
But, baby, that's ok
All you girls
When you look into the mirror
Tell me how do you appear, well
You're superficial
I'm a misfit
You're superficial
I'm a misfit
But that's ok
She knew that she wasn't like all other girls. Kinda bookworm-y and arrogant. But she had to hide behind something. And, by the way, so did they. No one could actually be so thick without their heads exploding. The thought made her smile as she entered the Great Hall for breakfast.
So you can do what you're doing down there
Cos I'll be flying higher
Waste your own time
I don't care
Anything you can do, I can do better
There they were. Her saviors, her anchors, her boys. They instantly shone up as they saw her enter and waved for her to come over and join them. What would she do without them?
All you girls
You look and flip your hair and wonder
why I´m still here, well
You're superficial
I'm a misfit
But, baby, that's ok
All you girls
When you look into the mirror
Tell me how do you appear, well
You're
What's the point?
You've got the wrong girl superficial
I'm a misfit
You're superficial
I'm a misfit
So okay. She wasn't the typical girl. Her head was filled with book knowledge and... other things, she thought and glanced at her red-haired best friend, not make up or how well her clothes matched. The thought made her a little sad, but she couldn't stay that way. Not with friends like those two. She didn't need anything else, she thought. After all, if they wanted her as a friend she couldn't be that bad. So she smiled.
So what we don't look the same?
So what I don't play your game?
So what if I don't?
