Disclaimer: I don't own Pirates of the Caribbean or any of its characters.
Sorry I had a little trouble writing a decent summary...I don't know why I wrote this or where it came from, but I did, and cried buckets during. But it is my first fanfic and I do plan on writing more. Unless no one likes this one, in which case I will stick to just reading them.
He watched silently as she left. He could see she was crying, her tear-stained face shimmering in the moonlight. He couldn't help but feeling like he should run after her and bring her back to his ship with him. He tore his gaze away from her and looked at the bed they had shared just last night, before she told him how she felt about him. She loved him. She told him if he didn't feel the same way she would leave.
"Please, say something, Jack!" she pleaded, trying to catch his eyes. He just stared out the window. She knew she couldn't convince him to talk to her, but she was desperate for him to show any kind of emotion.
"I can't live without you, Jack," the words were barely a whisper, and they cut into his heart like a thousand swords, but he did his best not to show it. He hated making her cry, but he knew it would be foolish to tell her the truth. He didn't believe in happy endings and this was no exception.
"Ye're goin' to have to," he said the words and the coldness in them surprised even himself, and the look on her face made him wish he never had. He wished he could take them back and instead tell her things that would make her smile and he would hold her in his arms and tell her what he truly felt.
But Jack Sparrow knew better. He was a deserter, and feelings like that weren't allowed. They would only end up hurting each other. His lust for the ocean was too strong, and his ship was his only love.
As she disappeared around the corner, he snapped back to reality.
Screw the hurt, he thought and realized he didn't care about anything anymore, as long as he had her. Without knowing where he was going, his feet followed the girl of their own volition, and he found her standing on the very spot they met. Her arms were spread out and she reminded him of an angel, with her wings open and her golden hair fluttering gracefully in the light breeze.
He was standing in the very spot she was only moments ago, but she wasn't with him. And he remembered what happened, he remembered wanting to call out to her, touch her, feel her skin against his….but his angel was gone. She disappeared over the edge of the cliff and to the cold, empty water below.
And now everything was silent. He couldn't feel the pull of the ocean; he didn't hear it calling his name. Now there was only her. Then he understood that the only thing he wanted was gone.
He stood in her place and prayed. He didn't know if he was doing it right, and he didn't care. He silently asked, nay begged, that he could be reunited with her, wherever she was now. Then he let himself fall forward and he was claimed by the icy waters which had claimed the girl.
But his last thoughts were not filled with sorrow, no. He knew that the woman he loved was waiting for him at the bottom.
Yes, he loved her, and he would finally tell her when he saw her again.
Well I hope you enjoyed! Please review and I will love you forever! )
