Kevin Bloom looked at the body in which he was now and banged his head to the wall of the prison he was in. Somehow he after being hit by a truck had found himself in the body of another boy called Kevin Levin who was trapped in a dimensional prison. He couldn't believe his luck, first he was somehow in a world with much higher technology than his previous one and then to add salt to the wound he was in a prison which was entirely on a different dimension.
He had gone through the memories of the boy and found that the boy had powers similar to the absorbing man from Marvel about which he had read in the comics though and that he was in a prison as he was sent here by some kid with a watch called Omnitrix that could let him transform between various aliens. Well he couldn't say that the boy didn't deserved it, the boy did show psychopathic tendencies. He remembered a fellow prisoner Kwarrel's offer of helping him control his powers if he ever needed from Kevin's memories.
He sighed for the thousandth time in his two days of finding himself here and remembered the offer of a big giant man called Kwarrel.
"Well it seems that I do need to convince him to help me" he said to himself as he looked at his monstrous self. The powers were cool but he needed to maintain his sanity. He could feel the anger inside him when he concentrated on the energy and the power.
"Thank you Kwarrel" Kevin said with a smile as he looked at the hulking brute of an alien who had taught him to absorb matter and some basic self defence in the previous month. Gone was his monstrous resemblance instead now replaced by a raven haired boy of 12 as he returned to his normal appearance after shedding the coat of concrete.
"Nothing kid" Kwarrel said in his usual baritone voice. Kevin smirked "yeah, yeah good old samaritan Kwarrel" he said with a amused tone judging by the slight twitching of Kwarrel's lips, he could see that the man was amused by his joke.
Suddenly all the prisoners started fighting in between them and the guards which confused Kevin as this was not a normal occurence. Kwarrel however was quick to act "its a riot, this is the perfect time to escape this place. Quince you would like to join?" he asked suddenly to the third member of their group.
"No Kwarrel, I still have my sentence to fulfill" the rodent like alien said with a small smile.
"Kevin quick as for you Quince, take care of yourself" Kwarrel said with a sad smile as he started to move back towards the prison hurriedly among the confusion of the prison. Kevin nodded as he understood that Kwarrel was plotting to break away from prison.
Kevin followed the hulking alien through the corridors of the prison as he made his way. Kevin just stopped for a second as he saw the unconscious figure of cerebrocrustacean lying due to being blasted away by a guard. The collar forbid the alien to use his powers which was placed by the warden of the prison.
He immediately knelt and absorbed enough energy from the alien so that he didn't suffered mutation but at the same time get some traits for him to be useful for him. The alien's telekinesis and electric blasts could help them, Kwarrel turned and glanced at him and nodded at his work.
During the previous month, he had experienced that his anger and insanity could be controlled and negated very much with practise. As a result he had started to meditate and experimented with his powers, he could regenerate metals which he had absorbed like a walking and living mine which was of great use to him as he absorbed iron and other metals and formed knives of them to use. The prison was a brutal place and Kwarrel approved very much of his efforts to protect himself. Infact Kevin would say that the hulking alien and him had a relationship of some kind of mentor and student.
They entered what seemed like a tunnel as Kwarrel spoke up "I have been digging these for months, finally I could leave this place" he finished as he jumped inside the tunnel.
"Wouldn't doubt of it" Kevin said as he entered inside the tunnel following Kwarrel.
They started walking and Kevin saw some blue crystals on the wall of tunnel, "it seems my waiting here had finally fruited off" a voice said from infront of them as they looked and saw the figure of a humanoid alien with olive green skin and two horns.
"Guess orchestrating the riot was not so bad, atleast I could kill you now Kwarrel" Morgg said with a malicious smile as he eyed both of them.
"Kevin run, I will tackle him" Kwarrel said in a serious tone. A normal person would have lost his wits but Kevin had indeed a card with him. He doubted if Kwarrel was bluffing or was serious but there was no way he was going to take a chance when his brain was already on a different plan instantly.
"Okay Kwarrel" he said with a nod as Morgg raised the blaster at them. It was his mistake as the Blaster was suddenly ripped from his hands into the outstretched hand of Kevin in a second.
Morgg didn't had time to say anything as he was shot by a blast from the blaster too stunned to move and dodge. The man dropped to the ground unconscious and Kevin's eyes widened as he saw the smoke coming from his body. The blasters of the prison were set to incapacitate a person, but it felt like he had killed him.
Kwarrel took the blaster from his hands and eyed it, "the bastard had set this to kill mode" he said with a calm tone, his tone betraying nothing but Kevin could feel the barely supressed anger and hate in his voice.
He suddenly felt a gentle nudge on his back as he looked at the concern in Kwarrel's face "we must go Kevin" he said softly as he eyed him carefully.
Kevin nodded and both of them went through the pathways of tunnel as Kevin thought about his first kill in this or both of his life. One could say that it was complete self defence afterall the man would have not hesitated to kill him or Kwarrel if he had his chance. Still it didn't help the guilt for taking a life. He was glad that absorbing some of the energy from the Cerebrocrustacean gave him enehanced powers such as telekinesis and electrical blasts. Even he could feel that he could solve everything thrown his way. Atleast he was smart enough to stop for a second and absorb its powers otherwise the encounter with Morgg would have totally different.
Finally they reached the end of tunnel as Kevin saw the red sky and the floating rocks of null void.
"We are out of there Kevin" came the calm baritone voice of Kwarrel as both of them realised that they were free.
