'Damn, why can't he just choose already?' Mist rose around Kagome's head as she sat in the tub in her bathroom. Tears came to her eyes. 'Why can't… why do I love… DAMN HIM!' Kagome closed her eyes.
"I thought you were mine…All the times we shared…
I loved you the moment I saw you…"
She saw in her mind the first time she met him. He was still stuck to the tree after fifty years. She smiled sadly as she remembered how she had rubbed his ears. Then her glee was gone when he first yelled at her, calling her a wench. Telling her that Kikyo was better.
"But I wasn't the first in your heart…

You said you didn't love her…
But now I know the truth…"When she had seen him kiss her, when she was dragging him to hell. Her heart had screamed 'WHY?' her soul had cried out and the bond between Kikyo and Inuyasha was broken, he woke and Kikyo left, but she was still always there.

All the times he had been so mean to her and gone off with Kikyo, and she had run home after sitting him. She had gone home to cry. But now there was no where left to turn. She was home but there was no help.

Of course he cared for Kagome, there was no denying that fact. But she often wondered if it was her or if it was Kikyo he saw. She was proud of him for changing. For finally starting to care for others and for loving others, trying to help them. But it sent daggers into her heart every time he went to her. Every time he tried to save her.

How many times she wished he would just kiss her like she knew they both wanted to. But his heart was with another. And as long as it was that way, she could never have him. She would always be on the side.
