I DONT OWN JAK & DAXTER OR ANYTHING RELATED TO IT

Jak's vision blurred and spots appeared before his eyes, jerking and twitching with the effects of the eco he reached out to alert one of the others. None of them had seen what was happening, they were all too interested in the eco core in front of them. It had been one of the many things the precursors left behind when they vanished and according to Vin it would keep the metal heads out of the city forever. He grabbed Keira's hand, causing her to turn. Seeing Jak lying on the floor, twitching made her scream. This alerted the others. Someone shouted to deactivate the power station and pretty soon it was obvious that was what had to happen as bolts of eco began to fire out of Jak's body and into the sensitive power circuits, causing some of them to overload. Jak's grip on Keira's hand tightened as dark eco began to flow over his body.

Jak woke. His sky blue eyes opened and he began to sit up. Stopping only when the pain from the burns made him pass out again.
"Jak? Are you OK?" he heard form the edge of consciousness. His eyes opened again, he faded into blackness wishing he had left them shut.
Spinning in a world of shadows Jak tried to contemplate what he had seen. Was she really back, he had thought she was dead. Long ago she had been killed. Or had she? His line of thoughts stopped when he felt himself being pulled back into wakefulness.
"Jak?" Jak opened his eyes, recognizing Keira's voice. But the beginnings of a smile died on his face when he saw what was by his bed. It was Maia! Hadn't he killed her? Seeing his look of panic Maia turned her eyes downwards, avoiding his gaze and spoke, causing Jak to gasp.

"It's me Jak. It's Keira." Jak gaped. How was it possible that Keira looked so much like Maia, the sister of the dark sage, and the person who had been so intent on killing him all those years ago? He opened his mouth to speak but only managed a shocked:

"How?"

"When you grabbed me dark eco overflowed out of your body because of the eco core. It flowed into me. It mutated me like it mutated Maia, that's why I look like her."

"Is it-" he began.

"No," she answered cutting him off, "the change is irreversible."

Ooooh... what'll happen next?
