Melfina was engaged to Aniki. The marriage was supposed to take place next week. I've already given my personal congratulations to Gene.
Secretly, I was jealous. I really wanted Melfina. She has been a sister to me, my aneki. I loved her.
Heh! What chance do I have? She's six years older than me. I thought to myself.
As I worked on tuning up the Ehefrau's engine, I thought about the days were I loved nothing but the Ehefrau and Aniki. Hilda changed that. Thanks to her, I met Melfina. She was very beautiful and gentle, like an angel.
"Do you need any help?" a gentle voice behind me asked.
"Uh..N-nn-no thanks," I stammered back.
Now I remembered when the incident with the time bomb. I began to laugh because I was so scared. Then Melfina came over and comforted me. I will never forget that.
"Um, Mel?"
"Yes Jim?"
"Can you meet me at my room? I wanna talk to you."
"Sure," she responded with her angelic smile.
At my room, when Mel stepped in, I shut the door. I then caressed her cheek.
"You're so beautiful," I said. I then hugged her.
After sensing something is wrong, Mel asked, "Jim, what's wrong?"
"I love you Melfina. Even when you're married, you'll still be my aneki."
"Oh Jim!" she said as she hugged me. "You will always be my little brother as well."
"Anyway, congratulations, future Mrs. Starwind."
"Thank you."
"Just do me a favor. Just make sure Aniki behaves himself. Though I'm sure when you're his wife, it shouldn't be a problem."
"Sure thing."
"Oh, and can I have a little brother to boss around like I boss around Gene?"
"I'll try."
"Thanks," I said as I hugged Melfina, the woman who will be my aneki forever.
