Recently rewatched the Black Widow movie and I still love it! The WidowFam is so cute, funny, and deserved more time together. So this is my attempt at more WidowFam love. Enjoy!

***Ohio***

Natasha Romanoff had a lot on her mind as she drove. She was going home to Ohio for the weekend, having gotten some time off from work.

She was a ballet dancer/instructor at this school in New York. A good one too. But even the most skilled person needs some time off. Though, that wasn't the only reason she was going home.

No, there was more to it that that. Turns out, today was a... special day? If you could even call it that. Eventful would be better verbage.

Yes. Today was to be an eventful day for her and her family. Today was the day that her dad was getting out of prison after almost 17 years.

Her dad, Alexei Shostakov, used to be a policeman. But when he was on the cusp of cracking a big case, he was framed, stripped of his badge, and put behind bars for a crime he didn't commit...or so he says. However, the wall of evidence that was against him didn't add up with his story.

So for the past seventeen years or so, he had been in prison. But today, he was to be released. That's where Natasha was going.

Getting an early start on the road since this morning, she had driven a long ways and was entering Ohio. She would've gone straight to the prison, but there was one stop she had to make before there.

***Diner***

In a diner sat a young woman with beautiful blonde hair that went just past her shoulders.

She sat in a booth, humming to a song that was playing on the radio.

Outside, Natasha had pulled into the diner parking lot. As she sat the car in 'park', she sat and looked into the diner until finally she saw her target: the young blonde.

She eyed the blonde, who sat with her back to Nat. So there was no way she could see her.

A few seconds went by before Nat felt her phone go off. She reach in her pockets and pulled it out. Not even bothering to look at the Caller ID before answering, she pulled the phone up to her ear and listened.

"I know you're out there." A woman's voice said over the phone.

A smirk came to her face. "I know you know I'm out here." She replied in a calm voice. "So are you gonna come out so we can talk like adults?"

Nat could see the young blonde inside turn and face her from her booth with a phone to her ear. On her face a smirk that matched hers.

"Is that what we are?" She asked with a teasing, sarcastic tone.

This gained a huff of laughter from Nat who hung up and pocketed her phone. Meanwhile, the blonde in the diner scooted out from her booth, shouldering a backpack she had with her and picking up a to-go box.

Natasha watched as she walked to the front door, out of the diner and up to her truck where she stopped a good three feet away.

"Yelena." Nat said to her.

"Natasha." The woman, Yelena, replied.

There was a silence as the two stood off. But it broke as the two slowly cracked little smiles and closed the gap between them with a hug.

"Missed you, sis." Nat said as she rubbed her little sister's back.

Yelena hummed in reply. "Missed you too."

Breaking the hug, Nat checked her little sister up and down. "You grew up."

Yelena snorted at that. "No sh**."

Nat snickered and rolled her eyes at that. "Come on, we gotta go."

The two sisters jumped into the truck and drove on down the road.

After doing some mild catching up and small talk, Yelena opened the conversation to more...important, current matters.

"So how are you doing?"

"Fine. Didn't you just ask me that two minutes ago?"

"No, I meant how are you doing with...this?"

Knowing full well what "this" was, Natasha let out a heavy sigh and shook her head. "I don't know. Nervous, happy...worried."

"About what?" Yelena asked.

It wasn't so easy for Nat to say. She had thought about it, hoped for it, yet she was still worried.

Despite her nerves hitting her, she gathered the strength to open up to her little sister. "I just hope that we can make it right... You know, with Dad getting out, I...I'm worried we won't be able to. I mean, we've lost SO MUCH time and a lot has changed so... that's why I'm worried."

It had been a long time since they had a deep conversation or talked about feelings like this... Yet, Yelena understood Natasha completely. It was something she too had worried about. Could they fix what was broken? Could they make up for what was lost?

So many questions...

But even though the weight of worry and doubt were heavy, Yelena, knew something else. She wasn't alone...not anymore anyway. And neither was Natasha.

Reaching over, she place a gentle hand on her sister's arm and squeezed it lightly. This caught Nat's attention as she momentarily looked from the road to her sister.

"Whatever happens, we'll do it together." Yelena promised. And Nat knew she meant it...and that meant a lot to her.

She put a hand over Yelena's squeezing back, loving this moment.

Suddenly, she began to laugh out of the blue. This grabbed her little sister's curiosity.

"What?" She asked with am interested look.

"Ya skuchal po tebe, sestrichka." Nat said, once again looking to her.

Hearing her say that in their family's language, Yelena smiled sweetly back and replied. "Ya tozhe skuchal po tebe, starshaya sestra."

It felt good to be back with her sister, and Yelena hoped it wouldn't end any time soon.

It was quiet aside from the radio the rest of the ride. But in that quiet was hope and happiness. Hope for a good future with their family, and happiness that the two sisters were back together.

***Prison***

In a cell sat a large, muscular man with a beard, semi long hair, and a bit of a gut.

On his bed next to him was a bag provided him with a few things packed. Today was the day he had dreamed if for many a year. He was going home.

A teddy bear dressed in a red sweater with a white star on the chest sat on the bag next to him, and in his hands were pictures of his loved ones.

Natasha, his oldest. Fiery spirit, tough and protective of her little sister, Yelena. His little "firefly". She had been amazed by the beauty of the night bugs and from then on, calling Yelena his "little firefly" seemed to just stick. And then, there was his wife. Melina. His whole world. This woman had been with him since before he became an officer. They had come to America together, learned proper English, even how to sound American if they wanted to.

Yes, Melina had been everything to Alexei. His best friend, his partner, his wife, and his lover. And oooh, what a lover she was. Beautiful, sexy, foxy-

'Whew! Easy now,' he said to himself.

Alexei had to calm himself so as not to get too...heated, at this moment. He'd have the chance to have his fantasies fulfilled soon enough.

"Shostakov! Its time." He heard the guard say as he stepped up to his cell.

With a big smile, Alexei slipped the pictures back into their envelope and slipped that into his bag, strapped that onto his shoulder and walked out with the bear in hand.

A few "whoop"s and and "Boo"s were thrown his way as he walked out if the cell cellblock, but he didn't care. He was done with this place, he was going home.

As Alexei stepped outside, he closed his eyes and took it all in. The warmth from the sun, the smell of the fresh air. He had felt it during his time in there, but this...this was different. He was a free man. No more walls, bars, gates. Nothing to hold him back. Well, one more.

Finally making it to the last gate to freedom, he stepped through and was now free.

As he looked around the parking lot, his eyes came across two young women. A redhead and a blonde. Though, there seemed to be something...familiar about them. Plus, they were staring right back at him too.

A moment of staring passed and the two began to walk towards him, and out of his own curiosity, he did the same. Soon they stopped just before reaching each other and there was silence and stares between them.

It took Alexei a moment to both realize and comprehend that the two women in front of him...were his daughters!

"Natasha?" He spoke, breaking the silence.

Natasha cracked a small smile and choked back a few tears coming up. "Hey, Dad...long time no see."

Alexei on the other hand, couldn't hold back his tears, nor his smile. "Yes, it has." As he said this, he gazed over to the young blonde next to her. Almost instantly, he could tell. The same, sweet, innocent look she had as a baby. The same little girl who's boo-boos he kissed to make better, who he made macaroni for... "Yelena?"

Yelena smiled and felt tears if her own coming up. "H-hi, Daddy."

Dad...Daddy...two names he had dearly missed, were being called to him now.

The next thing Nat and Yelena knew, they were pulled in and up into a big bear hug by there father, and though it caught them by surprise, they couldn't help but hug him back. As they did, the tears came and flowed through.

"Oh, my girls. My babies...all grown up. Ya tak skuchal po vam oboim!" He cried to them in Russian, holding them closer.

Hugging him back with all their strength, the two sisters cried back to their father. "My tozhe skuchali po tebe, papa!"

As tender and great as this moment was, it went south as soon as Yelena breathed in too deeply. Her eyes shot open and her nose crinkled at the smell.

"Whew!" She let go and shimmied her way out of her dad's embrace. This confused him and Natasha. "Wow. No offense, Daddy.. but you kinda stink."

Yelena couldn't help but laugh a little as she said this. Soon, it hit Nat too and her nose scrunched as well.

"Wow, yeah you kinda do stink, Dad." Like her sister, Natasha was respectful as she could be, but also laughed as well.

Taking a whiff from his underarms, Alexei got what they were on about. "Sorry, heheh."

The laughter increased, especially for Yelena while Nat rolled her eyes and tried to fight it, but couldn't.

"Hang on, lemme roll the windows downs." She said as they walked back to the truck.

Five minutes in and the reunion was already going great!...minus the smell.

In a nice suburban area, a nice yellow house with a beautiful green front yard was placed. And in that garden, tending to a flower bed was a woman. She wore a thin gingham shirt and denim jeans, as well as garden gloves and a sun hat.

This place had been her home for quite some time now. It used to be the home of her whole family. Her husband and two daughters. Now it was only her and her youngest daughter...but that was about to change.

The woman's name was Melina. Melina Vostokoff-Shostakov.

The sound of a truck coming and pulling into the driveway gained her attention and she stood up from her work.

Pulling her gloves off, she watched as the truck turned off and the doors opened, and out stepped three people. All whome she knew well, but one in particular made her heart speed up.

"Alexei..." She said to herself upon seeing him exit the truck.

Once he saw her, though, a small smile came to his face as he slowly stepped towards her until he was a few feet away from her. Natasha and Yelena had come up behind him but stayed back a little, knowing they'd want thi moment.

As they stood before her, Melina's mind flashed back to over sixteen years ago when Alexei would come home from work, and had picked up the girls from school...only now, it was the reverse and the girls had brought him home...they brought him home!

"Honey...we're home!" He said to her in a whispered tone, still holding that smile.

Throwing her gloves and hat down, Melina ran towards her husband and jumped into his big arms. To which Alexei caught her and spun around with her in his arms.

"Ty sdes'! Ty deystvitel'no zdes'!" She cried happily into his neck, placing kisses on his cheek and stroking his head.

"Ya zdes', moya lyubov'. Ya zdes'."

He let her down but never let go. And good thing too as Melina stepped on her tippy-toes and kissed him on the lips. A feeling she had missed and dreamt about for years, was now back. The feeling was the same for Alexei as he immediately kissed her back with unleashed passion.

Still standing there, Nat and Yelena looked anywhere else other than their parents borderline making out.

Finally, Nat lightly cleared her throat to try and bring them back up for air.

It seemed to work as the two broke the kiss and pulled themselves back together. Melina smiled and approached her daughter's, hugging them both.

"Hello, my darlings." She greeted, kissing both if them on the cheek.

"Hey, Mama," Yelena said, hugging her back.

"Hey, Mom," Nat said too, hugging her mother with more upmh. It had been quite a while since she had seen her, but that was then and this was now. And she definitely enjoyed hugging her mother right now.

They soon broke the hug and they all went inside. Melina went back to being connected to Alexei, with his arm around her as they walked in, Natasha and Yelena right behind them.

After all this time, the family was home again.

Hi! 👋 😅 Haha, yeah I know. Another WidowFam fic. Truthfully, I was only going to keep it as a one-shot, but I've got an idea and...I might keep it going into a multi-chaptered fic. Idk, but we'll see.

But this felt so good to write, the Black Widow Family back together again. The Black Widow movie deserves more love, as do it's main family. And that's what I'm gonna do. 😎

Hope you guys enjoyed this and yes the last chapter of the Next Avengers fic is coming. I haven't forgotten. I've been nursing it. But it will be here soon. 😉😁

Til then...
