Summary: Gippal comes to pick up Rikku for their first date. While he is waiting he has a "nice" chat with Paine.

It was a nice quiet Friday night for the Gullwings. Yuna was off on Besaid visiting LuLu and Wakka. Brother and Buddy were looking at maps and all that other "fun" stuff they do. Shinra was looking at the sphere they had just gotten, and Rikku was off in her room getting ready for her date with Gippal.

Paine liked Gippal. He was nice and all, but she just didn't like him with Rikku. She didn't trust him going out alone with her. She didn't like Rikku the way Gippal does, but more as a sister or something along those lines. She didn't want to see her get hurt.

As Paine thought about all this she heard the door to the ship open. 'That must be him,' she thought to herself. She then got up and headed to the deck. As she did Rikku asked her to tell Gippal that she would be down soon.

There he stood and nice and clean. Paine looked around to make sure nobody was watching. She then walked over to Gippal.

"Hey Paine," he greeted her as he watched her.

"Hey," she said as she looked him up and down.

"Is Rikku ready yet," he asked her?

"No, not yet she will be down in a few minutes," she said as she stopped right in front of him.

"Ok," he said as he started to feel a little uneasy with Paine watching him like a hawk.

"So, what are you guys going to be doing tonight," Paine asked as she watch Gippal's face.

"I thought we would just go see and movie and have dinner," he replied trying to remain calm.

"Ok," she said as she started to walk past him. After she was past him he started to breath again. Paine nocticed this and in one second she had her sword out and right up to his neck. He was now holding his breath.

She walked up right behind him and hissed in his ear, "I know where you live and I know where you sleep. If you hurt her at all. You will die a slow painful death got it?"

He gulped and shook his head yes. "Oh yeah, and if you tell Rikku of this conversation we just had, you will regret it," added Paine as she pulled her sword away from his neck and walked to the bar of the ship. A minutes later Rikku came down to find Gippal very pale.

"Are you ok," she asked him with a worried look on her face.

"I'm fine, are you ready to go," he asked in a shaky voice.

"Yeah, let's go," replied Rikku in her bouncy happy voice! Gippal then took her hand and lead her off the ship. In the other room Paine sat with a smerk on her face. She knew after what she said to him. That he wouldn't try anything.
