Betrayed
Chapter 5 – Prince and Princess
"Inuyasha I can't allow you to go with this girl. You belong to me!" Kikyo said, with an arrow aimed straight at them.
"Kikyo, don't do this." Inuyasha said, trying to protect Kagome as much as possible.
"Why Inuyasha, why should I stop when I know that it was because of you that I died." Kikyo said, eyes as cold as the fall night.
"Kikyo, you were so willing to let Inuyasha die when you thought that he was the one that killed you," Kagome said, walking in front of Inuyasha
"Kagome, don't she'll." Inuyasha said, before getting cut off by Kagome
"Inuyasha, this is something that I have to do." Kagome said, walking up 1 foot away from Inuyasha fear visible in her face along with the tears.
"How would you know what I feel? You can't understand the dead's wish. All I want is for Inuyasha to die with me or else I will never have peace." Kikyo stated.
"Kikyo, when you hear that Naraku was the one that killed you, you never even showed emotion. You were still convinced that everyone was lying that everyone was trying to protect Inuyasha." Kagome said, walking forward the wind blowing against her face.
"Be quiet!" Kikyo said, in a dead pan voice and eye's darting straight at kagome's heart.
"No, not until you realize what you have been looking at and what you have been trying to get the world to be like just so that you can have what you want."
"You want the death of Inuyasha for a reason that doesn't even make sense."
"You say it is because he killed you but in reality you killed him to."
"You don't see him running after you for revenge; instead he is trying to avenge you."
"If you were any kind of human, alive or dead you would be trying to do the same." Kagome said ,stopping in her track's.
'No, this girl is wrong. Inuyasha is the true one who killed me. Naraku is just some demon that is playing along with them just so that they can make a fool of me.' Kikyo thought.
"I am not falling for this!" Kikyo said, anger mounting.
"You, Kagome are the one who has turned Inuyasha against me!"
"You are the cause for all my pain." Kikyo said, getting her arrow ready to fire.
"If I am Kikyo guess what I am you 500 years in the future. In the end you did this all to yourself." Kagome said fear gone from her form.
"I have grown as a person in those 500 years to one who will be more concerned about others and love Inuyasha just the way he is."
"Not like you who just would accept Inuyasha only if he was human."
"I will not allow you to harm anyone else with the hatred that is so pointless."
"You are wrong Inuyasha loves me I will have his heart even if it is in pain and misery!"
"He asked you to be his mate only because you resemble me. Face it you are nothing more than a replacement for me!" Kikyo said anger mounting.
"Inuyasha has asked me to be his mate because I am different from you, not because I resemble you in any way." Kagome said
"Just to make it work for you!" Kagome said
"Kikyo please stop going after Inuyasha for he has to move on with his life we will avenge you and kill Naraku but you need to stop trying to kill him." Kagome said her face covered by her head.
Sango and Miroku sensed something was wrong after Kagome didn't come back.
"Miroku do you think something happened to Kagome?" Sango said franticly running in her battle gear to the well.
"Cant you see what is floating about the god tree?" Miroku said starting to see souls appear about them.
"Oh my kami! Kikyo is trying to get Kagome. We have to hurry!" Sango said running to help there friends.
"I just hope we aren't too late." Miroku said looking very worried.
Inuyasha –
"Inuyasha will come with me to hell!" Kikyo said shaking the tears off her face.
"Kikyo if you care about Inuyasha at all you will let him go!" Kagome said now getting worried because Kikyo anger was reaching critical.
"No you are going to be out of the way!" Kikyo said string back her arrow just about to let it go.
"Kagome!" Sango said throwing her Hirikose before Kikyo could throw her arrow.
"How dare you interfere Kikyo said sending her servants to push Inuyasha Miroku and Sango out about 7 feet before putting up a barrier to not let Kagome escape.
"Sango, Miroku Inuyasha are you ok!" Kagome said running over to them before getting stopped by an arrow 1 inch away from hitting her in the back.
"No you don't my dear Kagome."
"You will die." Kikyo said raising another arrow.
"Kikyo please don't do this!" Kagome said backing up just to run into a tree.
"Kagome!" Inuyasha said trying all attacks to save his soon to be mate.
"Kagome!" Miroku and Sango joined in trying to get the chains and everything to get in there.
"Now die!" Kikyo said releasing her arrow.
"No!" Sango Miroku and Inuyasha said all attacking at once at the barrier finally breaking it
Kagome could see the arrow coming nearer to her heart she couldn't run away she was stopped dead in her tracks.
Inuyasha and company were stopped by Kikyos soul collectors holding them back. There were hundreds they couldn't get to here the arrow was inches away.
"KAGOME!" Inuyasha said already saw her shot with an arrow once he couldn't bare to see her face like that again. He had kissed her, how sweet she was. He couldn't lose her for anything!
Just as the arrow was about to hit a glowing rope hit it out of the way disincarnating the rope. But leaving Kagome safe.
"I am afraid that I can't allow you to hurt the princess." Sesshomaru said walking in front of Kagome.
"Sesshomaru thanks." Inuyasha said reluctant to say it to him but for Kagome he would do anything.
"Inuyasha, I was so scared." Kagome whispered into his shirt now in there embrace.
"Don't worry Kagome I won't let anyone hurt you." Inuyasha said holding her tight.
"What did you mean by princess?" Kikyo said looking very annoyed by the four guardians of the girl.
"She is to be mated to my brother Prince Inuyasha of the Silver Dog family so naturally she would because the Princess." Sesshomaru said with calmness
"Inuyasha you are a prince!" Everyone except Sesshomaru said all at once
"Sesshomaru if you didn't just save Kagome you would be dead by now!" Inuyasha said getting mad at his brother for reliving his secret.
"Oh bother you were going to have to tell your mate and friends sooner or later." Sesshomaru said with an annoyed look in his eyes.
"Let's just focus on what is going on right now!" Sango said getting the two fighting brothers to remember that Kikyo was firing an arrow.
Inuyasha picked up Kagome and Kilala got Miroku and Sango while Sesshomaru just ran away form the blast.
"Kikyo you need to stop." Inuyasha said now putting Kagome down and going to face her head on.
"Inuyasha I will only stop attacking if you will come with me to the after life." Kikyo said hoping that he would give up.
"Kikyo I am sorry but this has to be done." Inuyasha said looking at everyone and then pulling out his sword.
"If you will not stop hurting my friends and mate then I will be forced to send you down to hell by force." Inuyasha said
Thunder now making the moon lit sky even brighter.
"No, you wouldn't do that to me!" Kikyo said looking at his eyes and then looking for a way to get out of this.
"I will not let you hurt Kagome anymore!" Inuyasha said
Kikyo found what she was looking for all had forgotten to get someone by Kagome to protect her.
Kikyo shot an arrow in the opposite direction which just so happened to be Sango's
She ran for Kagome as fast as her legs could carry her.
She grabbed Kagome by the throat.
"Inuyasha if you attack me now you will be killing Kagome along with me!" Kikyo said slowly ringing the life out of Kagome.
There was nothing that Kagome could do Kikyo had her by throat!
"Kikyo!" Inuyasha said dropping his sword and running for Kikyo his eyes turning red fangs growing.
Kagome opened her eyes to see the demon Inuyasha coming at her and Kikyo.
She couldn't say a word to stop him. She couldn't hold on to conciseness any longer all turned black.
Inuyasha had destroyed the clay and earth body that was a shell of Kikyo.
Kagome was let down and slid down from the tree.
Inuyasha at seeing this had turned back into his half demon form.
He caught her limp body in his arms when rain started to fall on them.
That was it Kikyo was gone never to hurt Kagome ever again.
Inuyasha felt strangely happy, not just that Kagome was safe but that Kikyo could now rest in peace.
Now he had to get Kagome to safety.
They were all back at Kaede's about to read the letter that Sesshomaru had left when the battle was over.
He hadn't said goodbye, he had just left.
"Inuyasha what do you think your brother wanted?" Kagome said looking at her soon to be mate happily.
"Well if it was just to tell me that he knows that you were my mate he wouldn't have left this message." Inuyasha said opening the message
Inuyasha read it as everyone excited to hear what he had to say that was so important.
