Chapter 10 Battle of Wills
Inuyasha and the other
Inuyasha woke up looking around.
"What happened?" Inuyasha said, looking around at all the faces streaked with tears.
"Inuyasha Kagomes, Kagomes..." Sango could not say it.
"Brother your mate has been kidnapped by Naraku, and most likely been taken over to the eastern castle." Sesshomaru said.
Suddenly the memory is washed back, it pained Inuyasha. "It's my fault." Inuyasha said
"No, Inuyasha no one..." Miroku said
"YES IT IS MY FAULT! If I had been there, Kagome would be here right now." Inuyasha said, his eyes changing colors a little.
"Inuyasha don't turn into a demon if you do you wont ever be able to help Kagome!" Sango said
Inuyasha froze in its place; his eyes were now full of tears instead of red.
"Brother the slayer is right, we can help Kagome but not unless you get up!" Sesshomaru said
"But Kagome, it's my entire fault." Inuyasha said
Sesshomaru slapped Inuyasha across the left cheek.
"I know that you have a stronger will than that, you are not a weakling!" Sesshomaru said
"What is more important to you, feeling sorry for your self or saving your mate?" Sesshomaru said
Everyone waited in silence.
"Your right, for once in your life you are right Sesshomaru." Inuyasha said, receiving a knock in the head.
"I am starting to think you were better off the way you were." Sesshomaru said, folding his hands against his chest, receiving a blow from Miroku's staff.
"Well are you two done with your Kodak moment, we have someone to save here." Sango said, smiling.
"Whats a Kodak?" Sesshomaru, Megan, Akima, and Sawako said.
The ones who knew looked at each other.
"We don't have time for that right now!" Inuyasha said
Naraku
"Most beautiful, it suits you my queen." Naraku said, looking at Kagome.
Kagome had her hair down and was wearing a kimono, the same one she was kidnapped in; her eyes were still blood red.
"Are you ready to kill Inuyasha, for what he has done?" Naraku said.
"Yes lord Naraku." Kagome said, not showing any emotion, but with the same red eyes.
"Good, here. Take these bows and kill Inuyasha." Naraku said, handing Kagome bows and arrows.
Kagome took them and put them over her back.
"Isano, take Kagome back to the castle!" Naraku said
Isano bowed and walked out the door with Kagome right behind her.
Once they were outside, they were surrounded by a black cloud that took them up into the air.
'I must try and help her; I can't let her do this.' Isano thought.
Isano closed her eyes and concentrating hard.
'KAGOME, KAGOME PLEASE ANWSER! IT IS ME ISANO!' Isano thought sending the message telepathically to Kagome
'Isano?' a scared sounding Kagome answered.
'Yes Kagome listen, you must fight this, and you can't let Naraku control your thoughts!' Isano thought desperately knowing that Naraku would soon catch on.
'What are you talking about, Inuyasha hurt me, and he betrayed me twice.' Kagome said, crawling up into a ball.
'No Kagome it was not him the second time, it was Ahh.' Isano thought but then felt a sharp pain in her head.
"Isano what are you doing!" Naraku said, his face appearing in the clouds above them.
"I am sorry Lord Naraku I want thinking straight." Isano said, bowing.
"Don't let me see anything like that again, or it will be your death!" Naraku said, disappearing again.
They arrived at the castle.
'Maybe I gave Kagome enough information so that she can break free.' Isano thought.
Inu & others
Inuyasha and the others were gather ring their weapons and were dressing in their battle outfits.
"I wish Kita and Kaisu would get back." Akima said, making sure the clip was in place.
"They should have been here a couple of hours ago." Meganu said, adjusting her sword.
"That is right I wonder if something happened to them." Sawako said, making sure her chocker was properly aligned.
"They are probably just running late, now if all you girls would hurry up we could go rescue Kagome!" Inuyasha said, pacing around the floor.
"I think that we should have someone go check on them." Meganu said
"I will do it, if will make everyone feel better." Koga said, getting off the ground and heading for the door.
"Thank you Koga-kun!" All three said.
"Fine, Inuyasha would you like us to go there unprepared and get our butts kick!" Sango said,
"No I am just worried about her." Inuyasha said, standing in one spot, his hair covering his eyes.
Somewhere someone was stringing a bow from a balcony in the ballroom.
"We know Inuyasha but you have to..." Sango was not able to continue because an arrow came straight at Inuyasha, barely missing his head.
Everyone looked up and saw Kagome, still in the blood soaked kimono so now it looks like it was all red. Her eyes blood red, fixed on Inuyasha, but her face showed no emotion.
"Kagome, is that you?" Akima said, turning to see the princess.
"Something's wrong, she wouldn't just attack us like this." Sango said, dodging some priestess ball of light things.
"Look, let's just detain her and figure this out then!" Akima said, dodging some of the spears of light.
"Ok Inuyasha can you get in front of her and distract her?" Meganu said, looking over at Inuyasha.
"Inuyasha, Inuyasha, SNAP OUT OF IT!" Meganu said, shaking Inuyasha
"Its no use, he is out in the head department. We are just going to have to fight for ourselves!" Sawako said, using her sword to block some of the attacks.
"But..."
"No buts, we don't have time for this!" Sawako said, jumping up to the balcony and attacking Kagome.
Kagome saw her coming and dropped her bow, then created a sword of light from her priestess powers and clashed against Sawako with her sword.
Kagome pushed back Sawako, used a wave of priestess power, and sent her flying into a wall.
Sawako hit her head hard and fell to the ground, pink lightning still on her body.
Kagome brought her hand up and sent five needles of priestess power at her.
"Ah!" Sawako said, screaming out in pain as the needles hit her, and then she fainted.
Meganu took this opportunity to sneak up behind Kagome.
"Take this!" Meganu said, throwing ice needles at Kagome.
Isano suddenly appeared by Kagomes back and blocked her attack.
"Isano it's me Meganu, don't you remember!" Meganu said, dodging some attacks from Isano.
Isano just looked on sending wave after wave of water attacks on Meganu.
Isano made contact with Meganu and she hit the wall.
"I will not be defeated that easily!" Meganu said, slowly getting up from the fall, holding her shoulder.
Isano lifted her hands in the air; suddenly Meganu was surrounded by a ring of water with her in the middle.
"Sui storm!" Writing out the katakana for water, the symbol complete it suddenly stretched and soon covered Meganu and hit the roof, it became a

Kagura looked over to Sango and Miroku.
"You will die tonight." Kagura said, looking over at the two.
Kagura was floating up in the air, and used her fan and went straight for Miroku.
Sango was frozen with fear.
Kagura cut Miroku on the shoulder an inch away from his head.
"Kagura, you don't have to do this, I know that this isn't what you want to do. You must have a stronger will that this. You want to be free like the wind." Miroku said, dodging all the attacks.
Kagura just kept trying to stab Miroku with her wind powers, each time making small cuts all over his legs and arms.
Miroku hit the back of the wall and Kagura was about seven feet away
Kagura sent daggers of wind straight at Miroku's heart.
"Die Miroku!" Kagura said.
Miroku closed his eyes and prepared for the impact.
"Oh no you don't!" Sango said, throwing her Hirikose in front of the blast.
"Meddlesome girl, I am afraid that you will have to die now!" Kagura said, sending a wind attack on Sango.
"No, Sango get down!" Miroku said, bringing his staff to block the attacks.
"You won't survive long!" Kagura said, getting her feather, and now circling the two.
Sango and Miroku went back to back, Miroku with his staff and Sango with her Hirikose blocking the attacks she was throwing at them.
Akima
"No Miroku!" Akima said, looking over at them.
Kanna appeared behind her and tried to get her with her mirror.
"Dust storm!" Akima said, bringing a small dirt tornado to cover where Kanna was.
Akima ran out of the storm and then saw Kanna appear behind her again.
"Take this!" Akima said, bringing her sword and trying to shatter the mirror.
Kanna chanted something and the mirror was now sucking in Akima.
"No, this can't be the way it ends!" Akima said, trying to get her body out of the mirror.
"I must help!" Sesshomaru said, running to get to Kagome.
"Good evening king Sesshomaru." Naraku said, appearing in front of him.
"What do you want Naraku." Sesshomaru said, grabbing his sword hilt.
"You have something I want, and you will give it to me or else." Naraku said, smiling.
"Or what?" Naraku said
"Or your little servant here dies!" Naraku said, holding up the unconscious Rin by the neck of her kimono.
Sesshomaru eyes widened at the sight of the girl.
"Let go of Rin!" Sesshomaru said, anger coming up in his eyes.
"Give me your Tensiaga now! Naraku said.
"Why?" Sesshomaru said.
"I said now!" Naraku said, bring a claw to her throat.
"Fine just don't hurt Rin." Sesshomaru said, giving him the Tensiaga.
"Very good." Naraku said, grabbing the sword and putting it in his sash.
"Now give me back Rin." Sesshomaru said.
"Now, now if you remember we agreed that I wouldn't hurt her." Naraku said, pulling out a sword.
"You double crosser!" Sesshomaru said.
"Ah!" Sesshomaru said, as he felt the sword go straight threw his heart.
He fell down to the ground, blood oozing out of his wound.
"Ha you idiot, you actually believed that you could get her back that early." Naraku said, stepping out of his head.
"HIRIKOUSE!" came a sudden cry from the other side of the room.
It cut heart of the demon puppet and was reduced to ash. Causing Rin has to be let go of ground and she fell into Sesshomaru's arms.
Sesshomaru finally lost consciousness because of blood loss, with Rin in his arms.
Isano and Meganu
'How am I going to get out of here?' Meganu thought holding her breath while in the water tornado.
'Wait I know!' Meganu thought.
"Lord Naraku Meganu is taken care of." Isano said, sending the message to Naraku.
"Good now get the others." Naraku said.
"Ri..." Isano was not able to continue because threw the tornado came two bright light blue lights.
They were in the shape of eyes, and then suddenly the whole tornado exploded in icicles aimed at Isano.
Isano blocked most of them but had some scratches on her face, legs and arms.
"Isano I know you aren't weak, you can break threw this control!" Meganu said, grabbing her sword and getting in a fighting stance.
Isano just looked at her and got ready for another attack.
Isano came at her and slashed her with her claws on her stomache.
"Isano please stop!" Meganu said, holding her wound.
Isano took a dagger out of her pocket and stabbed it threw Meganu's chest.
Meganu dropped her sword and held her wounds.
Isano was now crying, she was about to make the final blow.
"I am sorry Lady Meganu, but I can't get control back of my body." Isano said, crying.
"Isano, you have a strong will, please break free." Meganu said, with the last word falling backward.
Isano eyes went wide.
"MEGANU!" Isano screamed, suddenly a mark on her forehead appeared and then seemed to fly away with the wind.
Isano fell to the ground head her body not moving and her face paling.
'I may be dyeing Naraku, but at least I shall die free.' Isano thought, losing all life, but still holding on.
Sango and Miroku
Miroku had protected Sango when she helped Fluffy and they were now fighting off Kagura's attacks and failing.
Sango was down on knee for she had been hit hard there.
Miroku's left arm was hit hard and it was no longer usable.
"Miroku, how are we going to get out of this?" Sango said, having Hirikose block another attack.
"I don't know, it seems that we are in over our heads." Miroku said, being hit by one of Kagura's attack in the shoulder.
"Ah, Miroku my arm." Sango said, holding her arm, which used to hold Hirikose.
Miroku came and hugged Sango, completely taking all the attacks to his body.
"Miroku what are you doing?" Sango screamed, seeing Miroku slowly losing consciousness.
"Sango if I die, I couldn't be happy if I knew that I didn't do everything I possibly could to help you live."
"Oh, Miroku!" Sango said, but soon was struck with all of his weight when Miroku could not take any more and stood up in front of Miroku.
"I wouldn't let you hurt him any more!" Sango said, taking all of the attacks.
"Had enough girl?" Kagura said, smiling.
"I shall not fall." Sango said, tears coming from her eyes.
Kagura got an evil frown and threw another attack at Sango.
"Ah!" Sango screamed, as she took all the blows.
"I shall not fall." Sango said, blood falling from her body.
"Take this..." Kagura was stopped when someone came behind her and ripped threw her back.
Kagura fell and landed on the ground.
"Who are you...?" Sango said, before fainting into the stranger's arms. Akima
Akima used the mirror to her advantage and used her feet to grab her sword and stick it threw Kanna's waist.
"How dare you!" Kanna said, holding her wound with one hand and the mirror with the other.
'My arms are unusable they are two weakened.' Akima thought.
"You will die for that!" Kanna said, holding her mirror up and sucking out Akima's soul.
'No I can't let her do this I have to do something, but I am loosing too much strength.' Akima thought falling down to her knees.
Kanna drew out the last of her soul and she fell down to the ground.
"Now get up and help me." Kanna said, to the lifeless face person on the ground.
Akima did not move.
"I said up!" Kanna said, getting mad.
"What is wrong with you?" Kanna said, kicking Akima in the side.
Suddenly a figure appeared and hit Kanna in the head.
Akima just was on the ground showing no sign of life.
Kag & Inu
Kagome turned to Inuyasha.
"Kagome please, fight it! I know that you are stronger than to let someone take control of you." Inuyasha said, trying to help his mate.
"I am afraid that no one will be able to get her out she is my queen now." Naraku said, appearing behind Inuyasha.
"No she isn't she is my..." Inuyasha said, but then dodged and root that Naraku aimed at him.
"Now my queen, kill him." Naraku said, pointing to Inuyasha.
Kagome grabbed her arrows and strung; pointed at Inuyasha's heart.
"Kagome okite!" Inuyasha said
Kagome let go of her arrow and it barley missed Inuyasha, but left a scratch on his cheek.
"What did I tell you Inuyasha, she will not break away." Naraku said, smiling.
Kagome was not listening to what anyone was saying because she was thinking about what Isano said.
'What was she trying to tell me, that someone else held the knife.' Kagome thought recalling the memory.
'No, Inuyasha didn't hurt me, he is my mate, someone came in the room and the lightning flash, and I saw...' Kagome thought.
"Kagome kill him!" Naraku said.
Kagome ran down and tried to slash Inuyasha's neck, with her claws glowing purple from her priestess powers.
'there eyes were red, it was someone close to me, and it was Isano.'
'She is under Naraku's control!' Kagome thought
'That is why she attacked me, Naraku lied, and I must break free!' Kagome thought
Kagome stopped attacking Inuyasha and held her head.
"What is wrong Kagome?" Naraku said
"Kagome, are you ok?" Inuyasha said, holding Kagome closed to him.
"Inuyasha, negete!" Kagome said, thrashing her head.
"No Kagome you need me!" Inuyasha said.
"No, Inuyasha I am begging you, please run. I can't control my body anymore I don't want to hurt you!" Kagome said, her eyes changing color from red to blue back to red again
"No, no mater how much you beg me to run I WILL NOT LEAVE YOU!" Inuyasha said, pulling Kagome into a tight hug.
"Inuyasha." Kagome said, her eyes becoming blue again.
"Kagome fight, I know that you beat Naraku's mind game." Inuyasha said
"Get away from her!" Naraku said.
"Kagome you are strong, we have a special connection, something that can never be broken, my mate." Inuyasha said, very softly at the last part.
"Yes my mate." Kagome said, looking into his eyes, her eyes becoming a clear blue again.
"You b!" Naraku said, getting all of his arm things together and hitting Kagome sending her flying across the room and hitting the wall leaving an imprint of where she was.
Kagome fell to the ground, and did not move.
"Kagome!" Inuyasha screamed and was about to run when Naraku attacked him.
"Naraku how dare you hurt my mate!" Inuyasha said, tears running down his face.
"She shouldn't have chosen a wimpy half demon like you for a mate, she was destined to be mine!"
"She was born for that purpose, and you screwed it up!" Naraku said, engulfing the room in smoke.
"You shall die for that, along with your mate!" Naraku said, his voice seemingly coming from everywhere.
"You shall not hurt my mate any more!" Inuyasha screamed, but then was hit with a tentacle thingy going threw his stomache.
Inuyasha grabbed his stomach, he drew out the Tesuiga and used the wind scare to blow away the smoke, but only succeeded in blowing away half.
"Inuyasha, are you ready to die?" Naraku said, hitting Inuyasha's shoulder.
"I wouldn't die to someone like you!" Inuyasha said.
Naraku made another attack and hit one of Inuyasha legs, but Inuyasha got one of Naraku's arm.
"My, my the great Inuyasha down on one leg." Naraku said, and then mad an attack so that Inuyasha fell down and his sword fell away across the floor.
Inuyasha could not get up.
"I will not give up!" Inuyasha said, trying to get up but only fell back against the wall.
He was sitting up, and tried to go for his sword, but Naraku just attacked him.
"You will die now!" Naraku said, getting all of his tentacles together and going straight for Inuyasha's heart.
Inuyasha closed his eyes and waited for the impact.
"AH!"
Inuyasha opened his eyes and found Kagome covering him, the tentacle going straight threw right side of her chest.
"Kagome!" Inuyasha said, holding Kagome's bloody body.
"Inuyasha, I am so happy that you are alright." Kagome said, gasping in between breaths.
"Kagome please hang on!" Inuyasha said, clasping her hand with his.
"Inuyasha, just remember one thing." Kagome said, holding Inuyasha's hand tightly
"What is it my mate." Inuyasha said, tears falling freely from his eyes.
"I love you." Kagome said, her head falling back, and her hand falling limp.
"Kagome, Kagome, KAGOME!" Inuyasha screamed, his voice echoing through out all of Japan
