Betrayed
Chapter 13 – Painful reality
The castle repairs were going as plan and the rooms of the floors were being made into even better as far as everyone was concerned.
Everyone seemed happy though there were a few problems like still trying how to turn Meganu back into the demon she was but Kaeda was getting closer. At least that is what she said...
However, one thing never changed...
"Inuyasha I can feed myself!" Kagome said, from Inuyasha and her room in the palace.
"Kagome you are still weak from your power awakening, I doubt you could even hold the chop sticks." Inuyasha said brining in Kagomes dinner.
It had been like this for a week since Kagome's power had awakened, she was pronouns 'to weak and in need of rest' to do anything.
Kagome had tried to get out of her room; to go outside and had been chased back & Put back into bed by Sango yesterday, she swore Sango was keeping guard there.
Inuyasha had been staying around her twenty-four seven unless getting food or something else...
Kagome grabbed the chopsticks, picked up some rice, her chopsticks shook wearily, and most of the rice feels out leaving only a few for Kagomes mouth to intake.
"See I can do it, sure it will take a little longer to eat but I can do it." Kagome said trying to get some more only to have her chopsticks taken away by Inuyasha.
"Kagome I know that you think that you are all better but if you rest now you will get better faster." Inuyasha said, getting some of her dinner, waiting for Kagome to open her mouth, as he knew she would.
"Ha, I doubt if you would even..." Kagome started, but was stopped by Inuyasha.
"I am going to get you for..." Kagome was now shooting daggers with her eyes into Inuyasha's head.
Inuyasha shook away the feeling, when Kagome was angry it was hard not to notice.
One week later
"Hey Miroku did you find anything?" Akima called front the top of the cliff.
"Nope, no sign of her." Miroku said, jumping a little when Akima appeared behind him.
"What?" She said innocently.
"Why don't we check in with Sesshomaru and Isano?" Miroku said, looking for anything to diverse the subject.
"Sesshomaru, Isano do you find her?" Miroku said, inching away from Akima only to have her inch towards him.
"We are following her scent, but it seems to be going in your direction." Sesshomaru said running at the speed of whatever demon could go.
"Are you having fun Miroku?" Isano said sarcastically.
"How exactly did I get stuck with the pervert?" Miroku asked being grouped by Akima again.
"Hehe, not liking the taste of your own medicine Miroku? That is what you get for all of your actions!" Isano said, happily and Miroku could have sworn that he heard Sesshomaru laugh.
"Akima, maybe you should give him a break." Isano said, grabbing the walkytalky from Sesshomaru.
"I can't Sango said, to group him as many times as possible and that if I did I would be able to ..." Akima was saying but was stopped by an image of Sawako overhead, blood staining her claws.
"Guys, Sawako just passed off, look like she has been busy by the scent of blood that follows her. Get here as fast as you can and follow the scent." Akima said, racing after Sawako, Miroku close behind.
Kagome was going nuts not to be able to get out of this room. She was ready to jump off the balcony.
Kagome had been reading books and had not been able to get out of bed unless (fill in the blank, no one can be that dense not to see what she is talking about.). She missed her television and had done her homework for a month and having Inuyasha out of the room when his brother called him so that they could talk strategy for the battle ahead.
He did this only when she was asleep and he always knew the way to get her to sleep, whether it was giving her warm milk, hitting a presser point, which he had only been able to do once, or to put her under a spell.
Kagome and Inuyasha were talking about the wedding, which was coming up in a month. Kagome was talking about dresses and brides house cleaners and who knows what else. Inuyasha just kept smiling and nodding.
"So Inuyasha..." Kagome said, but then was interrupted by a nock on the door.
"Hang on Kagome I will be right back." Inuyasha said, and then shut the door.
Kagome took this change to get into a sleeping position.
'I knew practicing even breathing in yoga would pay off someday!' Kagome thought getting ready for her show.
Inuyasha came back into the room to find Kagome 'asleep' in her bed.
"Kagome are you awake?" Inuyasha asked quietly trying to scare her if she was faking it.
Inuyasha put his ear right next to Kagomes mouth.
It took every ounce of resistance that she had to restrain herself from laughing.
Inuyasha tucked her in and gave her a kiss before looking at her one more time and then running out the door.
Kagome counted sixty seconds and then got up quietly.
Kagome quietly slipped out of her room making sure that Inuyasha or any house cleaners or butlers were around.
Kagome took leaping steps quietly down the hall until she came to the stairs.
"Kagome, where are you, you should be in bed." Sango and Rin were saying from down the hallway.
Kagome looked for anyway out; all she saw was the staircase in front of her. A spiral staircase went down to the next floor, which was about twenty- feet down.
'Oh boy the only way down is 'gulp' the stair case. Maybe I should have rested a little more before I started. I just have to decide weather going out side is more important or...' Kagome thought but then heard footsteps.
'Why not, here goes my exercise for the next two weeks after Inuyasha gets threw with me.' Kagome thought looking at the staircase one more time.
Kagome left her shoes and went down the spiral staircase, some yelps coming from her as she went down.
Kagome landed on her butt, when she went flying from the staircase and landed on the floor.
"Acha, ok science was not my best subject." Kagome said getting up and going for the castle door.
'Sango and Rin will never check up to me now!' Kagome though happily as she was about two inches from the door.
She felt warm arms of her mate encircle her waste.
"Kagome stay away from there." Inuyasha said childe Kagome for trying to go outside.
Kagome saw Sawako hit the spot where she had been only seconds ago with her volcano claws obliterating the ground.
"What in the?" Kagome said being lifted in the air away from the red eyed Sawako.
Inuyasha raced up to the top of the stairway, got out his walky-talky, and called the rest of the gang.
"Miroku, Isano, Akima, Sesshomaru get your (fill in the blank) back here, Sawako decided to pay us a visit!" Inuyasha screamed as he held Kagome protectively in his arms.
Sawako just stood at the spot she had razed into rubble an evil grin grazing her face.
"Inuyasha what is going on?" Kagome said holding on to Inuyasha as if it was her lifeline.
"Kagome one of you powers hit Sawako and now she has turned into an evil demon." Inuyasha said holding on to Kagome while jumping to get away from all the attacks that Sawako was hitting him with.
"What, you mean that this is my entire fault." Kagome said, her stomache starting to feel sick.
"Kagome!" She heard Sango and Rin call from down the hall.
"Inuyasha I will hold off Sawako till the rest of the gang comes back, take Kagome to Meganu." Sango said, throwing her Hirikose
'Inuyasha wanted to go help Sango fight but...' he then looked at the scared girl in his arms.
Rin grabbed Inuyasha's hand and started to run up the corridors.
"Come on Inuyasha we need to get going!" Rin screamed leading him up another flight of stair has and took a key from a brink in the wall.
She opens the secret passageway and locked the door behind her.
They came into a circle room made out of concrete stone that had ice covering the walls; a bright blue crystal in the middle of her hands, a blue sheet was below Meganu as she was seemly floating a few feet about it. The ceiling was about four inches taller than Sesshomaru, candles were scattered about the small room. Meganu had her eyes closed and was wearing a blue kimono, her obi falling below her, her hair was flowing down her back.
"What in the heck is she doing?" Inuyasha said wrapping his outer coat around Kagome's shaking form.
"She is calling back her demonic powers, threw the power of the enchanted ice crystal, it is one of her family heirloom the hidden key to all of the ice demons powers." Rin said, remembering the story Sesshomaru had told her when Meganu had disappeared into the locked chamber two weeks ago.
"Why did Sango send us here?" Inuyasha asked sitting down with Kagome in his lap.
"This room is not able to get into unless you have this key." Rin said, holding up the key from the entrance.
Meganu's hair was back to silvery white with the blue shin. Her face was again its healthy (for her) pasty white, with the glow that seems to come from her power. Her tail back to being its beautiful white and her ears were down. Her locket was still shinning and was lying on top of her kimono. Her nails were almost full-grown. Her demon aurora was about 95 done.
"She should be done with her human to demon transformation within the hour." Rin said, shivering.
"Cant we go away from the ice and go towards the door?" Inuyasha asked the ice starting to get to him.
"No, we can't go near the door because then our scents would be detected. We should go to the bottom of the stairs so we won't freeze." Rin said, holding herself.
Inuyasha nodded and went to the stairs and tried to give Kagome as much warmth as possible.
"Rin, can't we make some kind of heat?" Inuyasha said, rubbing Kagome's back to try to warm her.
"No it would hurt Meganu's transformation and then it could make the castle blow up or worse." Rin said, rubbing herself to get herself warm.
Inuyasha looked down at Kagome and saw her lips turning blue.
"We are in trouble." Inuyasha said
Akima and Miroku arrived to see Sango with a mad look in her eyes and a broken Hirikose at her feet.
"Sango!" Miroku screamed block a blow that was directed at her from Sawako.
He grabbed Sango around the waist and jumped up to the top of the steps.
"Miroku where is the crystal?" Sango asked.
"Sesshomaru and Isano have it." Miroku said, his hands slowly creeping down.
"Well they had better... HEINTA!" Sango said, smacking him in the head.
Miroku went flying into the wall.
"Akima, how far are Sesshomaru and Isano?" Sango asked jumping down.
"They should have been here by now." Akima said, looking out of the window.
Kita held her shoulder running the final distance to the castle the castle the blood still coming from her shoulder and other wounds.
'How did this happen.' Kita thought as another demon came out and slashed her across the leg.
Kita kept running...
Kita fell backwards as a demon came in front of her.
'I guess this is the end for me.' Kita said, putting her head down.
"Poison claws!" She heard someone call.
She looked up to see Sesshomaru.
"Lord Sesshomaru." Was all that Kita was able to get out.
"Hurry we must get back to the castle." Sesshomaru said looking at her with his cold eye's.
Isano came up behind them.
"Kita can you run?" Isano asked standing next to Sesshomaru.
"I can but not for long, I think that I can run to the rest of the way though," kita said and then started sprinting for the castle, Sesshomaru and Isano a little farther ahead.
They ran to the castle and came upon the scene that we had just left.
'Well, besides Sawako everything seems normal.' Isano thought a smile tugging at her lips.
"Sesshomaru give me the crystal." Isano said dropping her person.
Sesshomaru threw her the crystal and she lunged at Sawako.
"Sawako, stop it, don't you want to turn back to normal?" Isano screamed, seeing Sawako run from her as she tried to catch up.
Sawako just smirked again and looked at the crystal.
'Her soul is being consumed by the darkness.' Isano thought running at the speed of a demon and was about one inch from Sawako when, sawako's eyes flashed red and red lightning came out of nowhere to fill in the space between Sawako and the crystal.
"What is going on?" Isano asked backing away from the light that threatened to destroy her.
"Her power is growing as the darkness gets more time to inhabit her soul." Sesshomaru said, giving the hurt warriors off to some butlers.
"We must fight her like we fight Inuyasha when he is turned into a demon!" Sesshomaru said getting his lighted rope thingy.
'Will that even help at this point?' Akima thought grabbing her sword and went to fight.
Back with Inuyasha
"Kagome please stay awake!" Inuyasha said, trying to keep Kagome awake so that the cold would not over take her, causing her death.
"Inuyasha I don't feel good, I need to rest." Kagome said her eyes becoming unbelievably heavy.
Inuyasha had ignored Rins warring and had tried to knock down the door only to be sent back, repeatedly.
Inuyasha was getting worried.
"Rin is there anyway out of here?" Inuyasha said looking over to the girl on his left.
Rin was asleep.
'On hell, Sesshomaru is going to kill me!' Inuyasha thought as he tried to shake Rin awake to no avail.
'We are running out of time, soon we shall all be dead, why did Meganu have to be a ice demon, why couldn't she be a flower, a grass cat, or anything else but ice!' Inuyasha thought deciding to go down the curve to see Meganu who was still in meditation.
"Meganu, wake up!" Inuyasha said, trying to get to Meganu only to be stopped by a barrier around her.
A cat shadow in a light blue light appeared to protect Meganu In the barrier.
"Meganu, please listen to me, if you don't wake up now Rin, Kagome and I will all die!" Inuyasha said, banging on the barrier.
Inuyasha suddenly heard a loud boom coming from outside.
He raced up to where the door was supposed to be with his demon speed.
He saw Akima with many bad cuts and looking like she was about to fall over and die in the doorway.
"Akima what is going on?" Inuyasha asked, looking at her wounds but keeping his distance away from her ( and near Kagome.
"Sawako's powers have grown immensely and she got Sesshomaru's whip from him. Miroku, Sango, the rest of the people who just arrived here, are now going to the hospital in the castle. Isano & Sesshomaru are still battling, but it is looking bleak. The princesses powers are of no limits, they are even greater than yours." Akima said looking into Inuyasha's eyes with a seriousness to match her tone.
"So the only person who can rival her power is Meganu?" Inuyasha asked walking down the corridor with Akima to Meganu.
"Yes but she needs to be at 100 of her demon power to defeat her. For the north are the most powerful ones, but only when they are at one hundred percent. Most demons never get to one hundred percent otherwise; we would all be powered by how much training we do.
You brother is at about 97. The norths are especially known for reaching their ultimate power. Once you find it, it can never be lost; that is one of the reasons that Meganu is able to call back her demon powers from her human form." Akima said looking at Meganu who was starting to glow bright blue.
"We should get out of here she is going to re-awaken soon and you don't want to be here when it does!" Akima said grabbing Rin despite her injures and going out of the passageway and closed and locked the door behind them.
"Why do we have to run?" Inuyasha asked following Rin upstairs.
"Because she will turn into a full demon, an evil demon, Sesshomaru said that he would be able to stop her, so now all we can do is hid." Rin said reaching another door and knocking on it five times.
The door opened and reviled a medical room.
"Why are we in the medical room, who are these people?" Inuyasha said.
"Because this is the highest and most secure room right now. It is too late to go to another secure area and it looks like Kagome, Rin and you need help." Akima said giving Rin off to one of the nurses.
"I don't need help; Sesshomaru is the one that needs help!" Inuyasha said giving Kagome to one of the nurses and heading for the door.
'And five, four, three, two,' Akima counted down to what she knew was going to happen.
"Akima!" Inuyasha screamed his hair up from the static shock he had gotten from the door.
"I tried to warn you, the doors and windows are special so that if a patient goes mad that they can't get out. You have to have the nurse's permission to go." Akima said backing up to hid behind one of the nurses.
Suddenly the ground shook.
"What is going on we are too high up for any of the attacks to hit us!" Rin said waking up to the earth cake like rumble and looked out the window.
"Its Meganu her powers are awakening, everyone brace yourself!" A doctor said.
Sesshomaru was looking at his fallen partner. Isano had lasted as long as she could but her powers had been overused. She was now lying against a wall away from Sawako who was showing no sign of ever going down. Her demon power was about to reach 100 percent.
Sesshomaru was running out of power, even though he was one of the strongest demons second only to the northern royal family, he was running out of power against this Sawako who was reaching levels that would rival even the north's power.
Suddenly the ground began to shake.
Sawako eyes opened wide as she jumped and landed a few feet from the ground that was now glowing bright blue.
The ground soon turned to ice as Meganu came threw the small hole. Her eyes glowing a dark blue with yellow where the white should be. She had a smirk on her face that would scare even Sesshomaru to death.
Sawako just came at her full force.
Meganu looked over to her calm.
She raised a clawed hand and swung at her, dark blue gas soon surrounded the room.
Sawako arrived at the spot where Meganu had been moments ago and realized that she was gone.
"Grr, Meganu come out and come to your death!" Sawako said looking around for Meganu only seeing dark blue.
Meganu came behind her and hit her on the back of the next knocking her to her knees.
"That was a cheap shot!" Sawako said getting back on her feet.
"Fire cats can't ever tell when to quit, I suppose that is what the lower class of demon is like." Meganu said coming in front of Sawako and slashing her with her claws.
"How would you know?" Sawako said holding her stomach wound.
"Sawako do you really believe that this is the path that you were destine to be in? Walk into the light, and see the truth. Or go away and die the death that is wished for you." Meganu said raising her sword, keeping it in its sheath and brought it across to her neck hard. Hitting her into the wall.
Sawako was in darkness, and then remembered everything, her home, her family, and her duties to her friends. She looked at the darkness and then the light. What do I do?' Sawako thought looking around.
Sawako walked towards the light.
Reality
Sawako was on the ground her eyes seeming to be in a different place.
Meganu looked at her with cold eyes.
"Weakling, the world should be rid of vermin like you who only waste the world with your insignificant life." Meganu said drawing her sword out of her sheath.
"In fact I will help you with that." Meganu said her blade transforming.
"Meganu stop!" Sesshomaru said coming up from behind Meganu and grabbing her wrist.
"You, of a lower class of demon really think that you can take me on?" Meganu asked in a sarcastic tone.
"Meganu, you went threw this before after you awaken your powers. Remember Koshi, you are not a killing demon who looks down upon others. Please go back to the way you were." Sesshomaru said trying to grab the sword from her hand but to no avail.
Meganu laughed.
"I was a fool to let my heart be turned enough to let him take it from me so I would go to become pure." Meganu said laughing evilly and looking at Sesshomaru.
"What do you mean it?" Sesshomaru asked hoping that her mind would either be to full of evil to notice what he was doing or that she would remember and go back to her friendly form.
"Do you really think that low of me Sesshomaru?" Meganu asked looking at him with hate filled eyes.
That is when Sesshomaru noticed it, a bright blue icicle shaped crystal around her neck glowing with dark blue energy. "The crystal." Sesshomaru said awed by its beauty
"You guessed it, but you can not purify it, for you lack the power." Meganu said laughing, then ran up to Sesshomaru and hit him in the face.
Sesshomaru cupped his cheek and then ran up the stairs.
'Kagome is the only one who can purify the crystal.' Sesshomaru thought but then was faced with Meganu in front of him.
"Miss me?" Meganu asked and then punched him in the face again. He went under her after this and managed to get to the right floor.
Sesshomaru tried to get into the room but was shocked away.
"Inuyasha open this door now!" Sesshomaru said trying anything to open the door.
Inuyasha timidly opened the door a little and then fully opened it when he saw it was Sesshomaru.
"So I take it that you are done with the battle?" Inuyasha asked calmly.
"Well, not exactly." Sesshomaru said, gulping and covering his ears.
"What do you mean...?" Inuyasha asked but then saw Meganu leaning against the door.
"Hello everyone, its time to play." Meganu said in a creepy voice.
"YOU BROUGHT HER UP HERE!" Inuyasha screamed at his older brother and then blocked her from going father inside.
"Well Kagome needs to purify the crystal around her neck so I thought I should bring her here." Sesshomaru said helping his brother.
"Ever think to knock her out before bringing her up here!" Inuyasha screamed.
"That would have been the smart thing to do, so of coarse I would not have!" Sesshomaru screamed and hit his head.
Kagome woke up to the sounds of booming outside her door.
She looked around and saw Rin & Kita sleeping in beds beside her.
"Inuyasha..." Kagome said getting out of bed with renewed strength.
Kagome opened the door to see Meganu looking down at Inuyasha and Sesshomaru who were both sporting fresh wounds.
"Inuyasha..." Kagome said drawing attention to her, and only her.
"Kagome get out of here!" Inuyasha screamed but it was too late Meganu was already standing in front of her.
"Hello little miko girl, for your outspoken tongue I guess that means that you want to die first." Meganu said, but was stopped as Kagome raised her hand and grabbed the crystal.
"Let go of the crystal." Meganu said but was being to have the yellow out of her eyes.
Meganu fell on her knees, the yellow on her eyes going away, the pulp becoming a soft blue instead of the dark.
Meganu had returned to normal and fell only to have her throat caught by the necklace.
"Kagome let go of her necklace." Inuyasha said grabbing her hand making her let go of her neck.
Kagome fell into Inuyasha's arms.
"What is wrong with Kagome?" Inuyasha asked, holding onto Kagome her eyes slowly going down.
"She has used all of her powers and energy in purifying the crystal she is totally out of energy. She needs rest; she should be back to her normal self by tomorrow morning.
The next day
Kagome awoke with the sun in her face.
Kagome slowly opened her eyes to see herself in her (castle) own room. She looked down and saw the bandage wrapped around her chest namely where the jewel was put back in.
She put her hand over and felt that it was fully healed. 'Just like Midoriko said.' Kagome thought and then looked over at her mate.
He still had his arms wrapped around her waist; his nose in her hair, a smile delicately graced his lips.
Kagome smiled, life was perfect as long as he would live with Inuyasha.
Kagome slowly unwrapped from Inuyasha grip and let her silk nightgown flow to the ground with her.
She walked over and looked at the balcony threw the glass.
'It was not a dream, the battles, everything, but one thing I am happy about it my mating was not a dream.' Kagome said putting a hand over the mark on her neck.
'But that means that me shooting Sawako, hurting my mate, it was real, I have betrayed his trust by not being strong enough to overcome the illusion.' Kagome thought facing the PAINFUL REALITY, tears falling down her face.
"Kagome..." She heard someone call and then turned to see Inuyasha sitting up in bed.
"Inuyasha, I am sorry, did I wake you?" Kagome asked whipping away the tears, which were only replaced by more tears.
"Kagome," Inuyasha said getting up and walking over to her pulling her into a hug. "We are connected, which means that I can feel what you feel. You sounds did not wake me, Kagome; I could feel your sadness and pain." Inuyasha said pulling her into a hug.
"Inuyasha I betrayed you, how can you even stand to look at me?" Kagome said all the memories hitting her like an ocean wave.
"Kagome, you were being controlled; I can not blame you for that, if anything I am to blame for not protecting you. Kagome I will never leave you again; we are connected, threw the ceremony of the mates, our bodies, our lives, our soles are conected now and forever." Inuyasha said looking into her eyes.
"Thank you Inuyasha, but I don't deserve it; I hurt you and everyone else. It is my fault that Sawako was turned against us and Meganu into a human. Oh Inuyasha it is all..." That is as far as Kagome got for Inuyasha silenced her with a kiss.
Inuyasha slowly pulled away.
"Kagome no one cares about that, it worked out in the end and now you are back home, safe with me and all your friends. They and I will never be mad over something so trivial. You are staying here weather you like it or not." Inuyasha said a wink with his last statement.
Kagome smiled and they...
Else where
Rin, Sango, Sawako, Meganu, Isano and Akima were all gathered in Meganu's room laughing hysterically.
"Sango that was pure genius!" Isano said laughing so hard she fell of the bed and continued to laugh.
"Kagome was the one who came up with it, I just followed her orders and next thing you knew we had a perverted chicken." Sango said laughing so hard she fell against the fence post.
"We should have some fun with this." Meganu said looking at the picture her cheeks still red from laughter.
"What do you mean?" Rin said
"Are you thinking blackmail?" Akima said a smile crossing her lips.
"You got, it, what do you say Miroku gets pay back for all the women he has grouped." Meganu said clapping her hands together her tails swishing back and forth to match the other demons.
"I second the motion!" Sango said replacing the laughter with a smirk.
"If we all agree then let's get to work." Rin said an evil smile on her face
Else where again...
Kagome and Inuyasha were lying in bed, Inuyasha's arm wrapped tightly and protectively around his mate's waist.
Inuyasha was nuzzling Kagomes neck, while she was quietly resting.
"Kagome, I have some bad news." Inuyasha asked looking into her eyes.
Kagome looked into Inuyasha amber eyes.
"What's wrong Inuyasha?" Kagome said sitting up in bed, the sheets covering her.
"Well you know how Sesshomaru has been calling me off, more and more often?" Inuyasha asked sitting up and putting a hand on her hand.
Kagome nodded slowly.
"Well, Naraku has been attacking more and more of the western villages, we can not just let him push us around & we found out yesterday that Naraku has launched a huge demon army to come to the castle and destroy the palace, we need to go confront him." Inuyasha said looking straight into Kagome's eyes.
"Well, we can beat them right?" Kagome said trying to put on a smile.
"Yes, but Kagome are you going to be to afraid, this is going to be worse than any other battle the we have faced, Naraku has more demons at his disposal, and he is very mad about losing earlier. Kagome I don't think that you should..." Inuyasha said but was silenced by Kagomes kiss.
"Inuyasha, I need to be around you, I am going with you if I have to handcuff myself to you." Kagome said a smile on her face.
"Well, I suppose that you could go but you must stay in a safe place, you are not going to be on the front lines with me, you will stay with the rest of the girls." Inuyasha said his dominancy showing.
"But Inuyasha..." Kagome wined by then saw that Inuyasha was going into an over protective mode and there was absolutely positively no way to get him out of it.
"Fine but when we camp I want to be near you." Kagome said holding onto Inuyasha's hand like it was her lifeline.
"No, Kagome you are..." Inuyasha was saying but saw Kagome was giving him the best puppy dogface he had ever seen.
"Kagome, err Kagome don't look at me like that, you know how that face effects me." Inuyasha said trying to look away but could not help soften.
"Fine!" Inuyasha said falling back on his pillow.
Kagome rejoiced and then lay down on Inuyasha's chest.
"Thank you, my amber eyes." Kagome said a smile on her face.

Sango was walking down the hall trying to look as normal as possible with a smile trying to get out of her face.
They had formulated the perfect plan and now all Sango had to do were luring Miroku out.
At first Sango said that Akima should do it because Miroku seemed to like her. However, Akima said that she could tell Miroku liked her over all others. Her demon instincts were telling her to back off for Miroku was perusing another woman and Akima figured that must be Sango. However, that would not stop her from grouping him; p!
Kagome had insisted that Sango barrow some of her clothes, just to make Miroku suffer a little more. Akima had given her a few lessons in seduction and how to walk.
Sango had barrowed a short lavender skirt, a low-cut V neck white shirt with no sleeves, black boots that went up to her mid lower part of the leg with a small circle heel, Kagome and the others had put Sango's hair in small waves not held back by anything. Kagome had done a little makeup.
'I feel like on of those Barbie dolls Kagome talked about.' Sango said almost tripping on the boots.
'How can Kagome walk in these things?' Sango said and then felt a presence and started to walk seductively.
'I fell like an idiot this had better work, how did they talk me into this?' Sango thought, as she was getting closer to the presence.
The presence was about to turn the corner and Sango leaned up against the wall leaving almost nothing not to see up her skirt.
'I am going to kill the girls for this.' Sango said trying to keep her face like the one, she was instructed.
Sesshomaru turned the corner to see Sango looking like well, um, yeah.
Sango was shocked when Sesshomaru came around the corner and tried to stand up only to fall face flat on the floor.
"...um, Sango when you are done there can you tell me where Rin is." Sesshomaru said looking away as Sango's short skirt was giving him a view, that Miroku would have traded his life for.
Sango quickly stood up and blushed.
"Yeah she is on the balcony in Kagomes room waiting for her part." Sango said smoothing down the all too small skirt.
"Part of what?" Sesshomaru asked an eyebrow going up in interest.
"Ah, is Miroku around?" Sango asked.
"He is on the other side of the castle in the prayer room." Sesshomaru said pointing in the other direction.
"Thanks Sesshomaru bye!" Sango said running down the hall, tripping a little with her boots.
Sesshomaru looked at Sango's appearance and wondered why she would be going to a perverted monk when she was dressed so skink; he shrugged his shoulders and went off to find Rin.
Sesshomaru knocked on his brother's room and Rin answered the door.
"Sesshomaru-sama what are you doing here?" Rin said her face paling as she was suppose to be cleaning or with the princesses.
Rin gulped.
"I was here to find you." Sesshomaru said blushing a little but trying to keep his stone cold face, but melting easily to the girl.
"Sesshomaru-sama I am so sorry I am not with one of the princesses or cleaning well you see, I was..."Rin was saying but was stopped by Sesshomaru kissing her on the lips.
Rin was in a state of shock.
"Sesshomaru-sama, why did you do that?" Rin said a blush on her face.
"Rin, over the years you have lived here in this castle and I have grown accustom to seeing you. You must understand that we will be going off to war and I could never live with myself if I knew that you would die without knowing my feelings or being left behind because you were a servant.
Rin would you become my mate?" Sesshomaru asked more afraid than any other time in his life.
Rin had her mouth open and was about to faint, was Sesshomaru-sama really asking her to become his mate, the queen of the western lands. She, a servant to be stowed with that kind of honor was unheard of, and she was a human. However, she loved him, she knew she did but thought that those feeling where just a crush but she looked into his eyes and knew that she loved him, and that he loved her.
"Yes Sesshomaru-sama." Rin said tears of happiness coming out of her eyes.
"You will not be calling me Sesshomaru-sama anymore, Sesshomaru or mate will do. Come Rin lets get you settled." Sesshomaru said putting his arm around her waist.
Sango ran down the hallway and was almost to the prayer room.
Sango gulped and started walking again.
She threw open the door to see Miroku looking at a magazine from Kagomes time with 'Seventeen' on it, he was looking a swimsuit add.
Sango counted to ten and looked at him and batted her eyelashes.
"Sango, this isn't what you think!" Miroku said throwing the magazine into a wall decoration knocking it down.
"I know Miroku, I came to see you." Sango said getting behind Miroku and putting her arms around him.
Miroku had his mouth hanging open as he felt Sango press her body to his from the back.
"Sango did you eat something funny?" Miroku said turning around and noticing Sango's outfit for the first time.
"Of coarse not Miroku hunny, I just came to have some private time with you." Sango said trying to sustain the laugh on her face; he was going to fall for this so easy!
"Sango are you sure you are feeling ok?" Miroku said not able to keep his perverted personality.
Miroku started to nuzzle Sango's neck.
"Miroku what do you say we do that some where more private?" Sango said leaning into the nuzzle.
"What ever you want Sango." Miroku said picking her up bridal style.
Sango was surprised that Miroku was being so sweet and was about to stop him but they had already reached his room.
He put down Sango and opened the door to see the room filled with pictures of him covered in feathers.
"Miroku how would you like Inuyasha, Hoshi..." Kagome started
"To see them." Meganu finished appearing in the room.
"What in the world, Sango you betrayed me?" Miroku said then turned back to the other girls.
"Fine what do you want?" Miroku said sounding bitter.
Sango looked ashamed and went out the door.
"Girls huddle!" Kagome said pulling in all the girls.
"I think Sango looked upset," Kagome said
"Do you think something happened when she was gone?" Isano asked.
"You don't think that she had feelings for him do you?" Meganu said looking at the millennially Miroku.
"I say that we should make up for this, we could have just blown the chance for Miroku and Sango to b e together." Akima said a sad face on her features to match Miroku's.
"I think that we should make Miroku date Sango until the war starts." Sawako said with a grin.
"Maybe Miroku and Sango could make amends by then and if Sango really does love him and he really loves her they will be able to get over this." Meganu said with a smile.
They all nodded and went back to Miroku.
"Miroku you have to spend time with Sango, be as nice as possible, not grope her, and get her to kiss you willingly before we go off to face Naraku!" At the last comment, they all looked at Akima.
"Fine whatever just cleans this up and burns those pictures." Miroku said and then turned out the door.
"Akima that wasn't part of the deal!" Meganu screamed at the girl.
"What is wrong with that?" Akima said looking confused.
"If anything you made things worse because if he does and Sango falls for him, Sango will think he didn't mean it." Sawako said sadness in her eyes.
"We should tell her." Akima said
"No, then Miroku would think that we cheated and will stay even farther away from Sango." Isano said putting her head down
"Well Sango probably needs someone right now, Kagome I can hear Inuyasha calling for you. Meganu and Sawako a maid is looking for you because you brothers want to see you." Akima said readjusting her ears to the sounds.
The girls looked up, nodded and walked away.
"We will figure this out later." Kagome said before running off to find Inuyasha.
"Akima, why don't we go comfort Sango she could use it." Isano said they nodded and walked off to find Sango.
