Betrayed...

Chapter 19 Final battle

Kagome looked on helpless, Sesshomaru and Inuyasha were getting brutally beaten from Shijo. With Rin as a sheild there was no stopping him.

She was still stuck in a barrier behind Shijo and Sango lay next to her unconscious, even if Kagome managed to break the gravity she would get electrocuted from the shield.

'What can I do...'

Sesshomaru took another hit to the jaw growling in frustration as he couldn't fight back unless he wanted a dead mate...he might as well have been dead himself.

"I cant believe this..I never thought our final battle would end like this." Inuyasha said looking at the Testusaiga that was above Kagome and Sango's head, he himself bleeding badly from an arm wound.

Sesshomaru stood standing next to his brother. "We can figure out something."

"That is where your wrong." Shijo said lifting up his sword a ball of light forming around it and shooting it towards the brothers who took it full on.

They both hit the wall and fell Sesshomaru on his front and Inuyasha on his back.

"Time to die.." Shijo said smiling taking a quick glance back at Kagome before point the sword straight at Inuyasha heart.

Kagome eyes widen and her breath quickened..this was it. She couldn't just sit her doing nothing.

Kagome started to pull herself forward using all and any of the demon strength mating with Inuyasha had given her, gritting her teeth as she came in contact with the force field.

Kagome raised her head so that she was looking at Shijo all the while getting shocked by the barrier.

Shijo stopped a few inches from there and looked back eyes widened.

"Stupid girl stop it, you'll kill yourself."

Kagome just continued get shocked pulling herself threw, Kagome sat straight up and raised onto her feet. She slowly took one foot stepping outside the barrier, eyes seeming alive with fury.

Shijo looked down at the knocked out half demon before turning to face Kagome.

"Its to bad, I really would have liked to keep you. Guess you just want to die instead, no matter. As long as I have this little girl here, your as weak as your half demon mate." Shijo said with a smirk.

Kagome's eyes were still filled withrage, she grabbed Testusaiga out of the wall and grasped it in both hands.

Shijo got pushed off going straight for her, sword aiming to cut her in half.

Kagome put her left foot behind her right and contacted her sword with Shijo's, her hair blowing straight back as the two sword created huge winds.

Shijo let go of Rin putting his other hand on the sword trying to push Kagome down and out for the count.

"Your human, there is way you can beat me, even with a flashy sword." Shijo said doing a back flip regaining his footing.

Kagome stood hatred still filling her blue orbs.

"Think you can take me, come at.." Shijo said but was confronted with Kagome appearing before him jumping up and having her sword coming in contact with his.

Blue light appeared all around Kagome and on Testusaiga, she was putting everything she had into it.

Shijo knees bent as her power came on strong, "It's no use for I've been holding back." He said and was soon enveloped in a black light the sword too becoming black.

Kagome coughed as the miasma came around her to, the blue starting to fade in the black.

'Inuyasha! Inuyasha help me, I can't defeat him alone.' Kagome screamed in her mind. Her body couldn't stand up to Shijo's attack.

She was losing.

Shijo pushed Kagome down onto her knees, she herself still defending herself holding Testusaiga out. The blue light slowly fading.

Inuyasha's body pulsated, the black demonic energy formed a circle around her and the Tetsusaiga.

Sesshomaru sat up on his elbows looking fearful at the sight.

A bar of purple light came out of the black energy.

"What is happening!" Shijo said eyes glowing red looked at the bars of purple light that started to come from all sides.

Shijo soon started to feel a huge power pushing up on him and saw Kagome completely surrounded by a purple light Tetsusaiga full as in the hands of Inuyasha.

"Shijo, your time is up!" Kagome said with a mixture of her and Inuyasha's voice.

"No, this cant be!" Shijo said as the purple light overtook the black.

"Believe it!" Kagome said pulling her sword back, putting it above her head it glowing a silver looking like it was made of many shards of the jewel. She thruster it forward a tunnel of red and blue energy coming from it.

Shijo was pushed forward into the air his body slowly disintegrating the sword fallen to the ground before. He looked down at Kagome who gripped to the sword tightly, it shifted to the right of her.

"I did it for you..." Shijo said as his head disintegrated.
