Chapter 20 - epilogue
One week after...
Inuyasha sat on the roof the castle not wanting to be contained in the madness in the house.
Inu's POV
Everything was begging to quiet but without his mate there it was still hell. Everyone was still worried over Kagome who had collapsed after the battle. He himself being a half demon had healed quickly and was up and running a few days after.
Everyone had wondered what had happened to Kagome and how she gained that much power, how she was able to use Tetsusaiga. Hell none of it made sense.
Sesshomaru had helped clear some light though, taking a few guess on what could have happened.
"You and Kagome have such a strong bond from mating, strong then normal. When Kagome reached out to you in her thoughts, you heard them and you reacted. You became a part of her, which is why Tetsusaiga came out as if you were holding it. The purple light was simply your red aurora with her blue."
"Feh, know it all jackass" Inuyasha said turning on his side on the roof.
But the bigger jackass was the one who was after his mate down to his final word. Shijou... his final words still rung in his ears.
"I did it for you, I did it for you, I DID IT FOR YOU," Inuyasha said standing up and pacing on the roof.
Shijou had wanted Kagome so badly that he was willing to kill everything in the entire world. The block head was more stubborn then Kouga. He had nearly succeeded in doing that, but luckily I...and maybe with some help but not much was able to take him down.
"That's right!" Inuyasha said standing on the roof one hand punched out toward the sky and a smile on his face.
"Your fun to watch." Miroku said smiling looking up from the balcony.
"AH! MIROKU!" Inuyasha said loosing his balance and holding onto the tip of the roof with his hands.
Miroku laughed again, "Deep in though, be careful its dangerous."
"Grr... WHAT DO YOU WANT MONK?"
"Well I just wanted to tell you Kagome is up an... Inuyasha where'd you." Miroku said seeing the roof bare.
Miroku came down the stairs to see everyone in the living room half asleep half awake.
"Seems like everything's done, I think we've done it all." He said grabbing sango laying down and lying her next to him.
"Yep, everyone's got their mate and no more bad guys. Life's perfect..." Rin said smiling up at Sesshomaru.
